  1. Due to lifestyle changes required I have decided to depart the racing pigeon sport after 32 years, firstly flying in partnership with my father (George) and latterly over the last 4 years by myself. During this 32 year period it has given a lot of success from 60 miles to 673 miles at Scottish National level have won section E no fewer than 8 occasions, SNFC west region average winners a record 6 times, also won the prestigious Lanarkshire Social Circle Gold cup a record 6 times. At present there is a strong team of long distance bloodlines that will bring rewards to any would be purchasers, including Marcia lot 2, Scherpes son lot 29 top performing son of Scherpe (Jos Pepping) a son of “22299†lot 17, Daughter of J Kings Maggie Gold award winner with SNFC plus other quality bloodlines that have been acquired. Although my passion was at its highest for national racing. Club and federation racing with the Lanarkshire federation played an important and enjoyable part. Like my late father I have always competed at every distance from first race to last. After a quiet couple of years in 2011 & 2012 and motivated to change these performances at the sprint middle distance races. I carried out a great deal of research into purchasing pigeons that could compete at the highest level of the Lanarkshire federation with 440 members sending up to 8000 birds. This research proved worthwhile as the reports and information I was receiving regarding the Leo Herman / Cuester pigeons was outstanding. Purchases of this blood were made in Autumn 2012 from J & D May from Worcester park. Brian Johnston from Norton, A Stemmer from Germany. These were predominantly Grand children of Olympiade 003, Safir, Rossi, Spinneke, Euro, Roulette, De Jan & De Power. In the Autumn of 2013 the Bart Geerinckx family lines of Gladiator, Wittekop Sylvester was brought in from B Johnston and in that short time they have been just as successful. A small handful of other pigeons to compliment were also brought in, this included 3 cocks from the outstanding partnership of GWP MacAloney, children from Janefield 42, Cleopatra III, Bluestar Girl, Rambo, Blue Magic, also one cock from Diego Wouters Netherlands “Drapalea†grandson of superstar “Flitzer†From the first young bird win in season 2013 these new acquisitions changed everything. Since this period, these pigeons have won no fewer than 24 x 1sts competing in 42 races, NO DUPLICATIONS. These firsts are competing at club and federation level up to 4296 birds. In the short period of racing these new acquisitions and flying into what is widely regarded as an unfavourable location have won the old bird and Combine average within the Lanarkshire federation in 2014, also the prestigious accolade of Federation champion.
