I get them fae Galloway andd McLeod in Stonehoose have done for a long time noo

chicken layer pellets Lewis 1/6th of the feeding and i have used them every year for the last maybe 6 or 7 years farmgate is the supplier

just checked when the SNRPc was as my good friend Vincie had a yb in the sale off his 1st open Wanstead Flats winner and had put a minimum price on what he wanted it to go for and when it didnae make the reserve he gave it to me that night and told me to put it in my loft but i noticed even that yb was baldy oer the heid the other day but i never cheacked it's flight's but it was straight oot the nest 1st week in may so isnae old

I checked about 10 today Del they were between the 5th and 6th flight plenty of covers feathers missing tae and some of them have moulted oer the heid and look great noo weird but in very good nick eating well flying ok to well and the sh!t is spot on

GEO i had 30 of them like that 2 or 3 weeks ago that's the reason for my post mate something weird happening with them

Not in the least bit worried about them but i cant remember them going into a natural moult this early and as heavy as they have done

I paired up the 1st saturday in march this year so my yb's are'nt too old although i had a few 2 weeks before my own were out the nest from my mate Malky now my question or maybe my point is over the last 2 or 3 weeks these yb's have been falling to bits and i mean falling to bits the loft is quite airy plenty light no darkness with them they are on 2 part beans 1 part 4 season mix 1 part wheat 1 part barley and 1 part layer pellets not a heavy feed and not too seedy either so what is making them moult this quick??? they have oregano tea 2 or 3 times a week maybe cider vinegar once a week tae dropping are perfect yb's look great flying ok but never had them moult like this this early???
