  1. I brought mine from Regency Lofts 5 years ago and I know mine works, these keep away cats, mice rats etc.......... My next door neighbour is plagued by foxes dur to them keeping chickens, I aint had no trouble since installing it :)
  2. Guy Staes :)
  3. Camiel Cardon :)
  4. Wildeersmersch ;)
  5. I had mine out of Argos about 4 years ago, I didn't pay that much for them, shop arond mate they should be half that price. ;)
  6. When I had mine I feed 50% bucktons VIP and 25% barley 25% red band. I did not compete with them but they always flew well around loft. I fed them once a day to appetite, hope this helps. ;)
  7. I think it as been answered, watch your birds they will tell you when they are right. I have a foot square wipeboard (they use in schools, you write on it and it wipes off easily) in each loft and if I see something unusual in a bird I write it down and watch how he performs on race day. I had a cock who when right would not even tolerate his hen near him on a friday he defended his box against anything that came within reach of him. I have had pigeons with a wide open cleft, skin like cling film, immaculate feathering etc and they have come back a day later, equally I have had them with closed cleft, scaley skin and they have come and won so I dont take notice of it now. I just watch for unusual behaviour the birds will tell you when they want pooling. ;)

Good luck lads I will be watching with interest, mine aint been out since last race. ;)
  11. I would wish for every child in the world to have a belly full of food every night. :) Pigeon related I would settle for 24 of them automatic cleaning widowhood boxes :)
  12. The best to best, then move there eggs under something else for them to go back down again, But I will be the first to admit I had a nestpair of cocks that won 12 first prizes between them before they were 2 year olds and if I am honest they should not have been here as there parents were brought for feeders. They were yearling to yearling pairing that laid to late to put any other eggs under so I rang the 2 youngsters just if I am honest to make the numbers up. These were then so I thought my new golden couple.........................never bred a winner again even when paired to different partners. I have heard many times virgin hens lay the golden eggs, I do believe there is some truth in this talking from experience, I have bred some fantastic pigeons from virgin hens. ;) ;)
  13. Well done Chucka, top man mate. :) :)
  14. Had this happen 3 years ago, I had to move my lofts to another location about half a mile away so decided to settle the birds in the winter months, they later went on to win well the following season, I thought it was a sign f condition as they were flying freely for about 2 hours a day, sometimes in cold conditions. ;)
  15. Very strange mate, I said at the time they were stolen to eat purely for the fact that 2 out the 3 lofts that were broken into had not raced for a few years and even when they did they never won anything. Plus with nothing ever returned that confirmed my suspicions. :(
  16. We had 3 lofts broke into by us on the same night about this time last year, all within 500 yards of one another about 150 birds taken, we are also in the West Midlands. None of them birds have ever returned I suspected they were stolen at the time to eat and I think I was right. :(
  17. Glad they did not get any mate, you were lucky this time thanks to your dog, now please everyone take this advice I am fed up of repeating this on several web sites ::: Go to Argos/Boots/Mothercare etc and purchase Childs Monitors (the sort you plug in next to your childs bed and you plug the other one in next to yours to hear your child throughout the night). Plug one in your pen and put the other next to your bed believe me you can hear a pin drop, any body in your garden or neighbours gardens you will hear them right away and can deal with it in your own way. Put it on your xmas wish list the missus might think it strange but believe me when I tell you its better than any alarms and with the added bonus you will soon hear if your birds have any respiratory problems with sneezing etc. ;)
  18. Your welcome Josh. ;)
  19. Try norban.co.uk/
  20. What...............The mighty Leeds got beat by non leaguers ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  21. It is up to you Josh but I would isolate the bird and just treat that one for cocci, I have a cock here that had watery droppings as a youngster the only one out of 25, i treated him only then he won a fortnight later, even ourselves have off days were we are sick I am glad Asha is not my doctor. ;)
  22. They wont suddenly stop because xmas has come, birds will still moult out in January. My darkies are either moulted or are on there master flight, If you put Cayeene Pepper into the search option and read about it I believe that is the reason for mine moulting so well. ;)
  23. I took my 4 year old son last year and if the missus forces me to take him this year I wont be going, constantly being bumped into without a thought for my son, language that was not needed and not being able to get to some trade stands due to the amount of people there, I will probably give it a miss.
  24. Happened to me as well mate, virgin media box, i set to record didn't record the fight well done anyway Joe, a true battler. ;)
