Robbie 1 : Glad you got your bird back!!!! I got a stray in with our race birds the other day, took rubber ring off put into sickbay pen; fed and watered till next day. Drove it about 10-mile away and turned it lose!!!! Don't know if owner got bird or not!!!! I feel I did my part. The bird had a nice breeding eye as I ever saw, hope he went home!!!!! jimbobboyUSA

We use linseed oil for our paint brushes and paints and cod liver oil soaked in our ration of food the day after racing. Helps their recovery and lining of their crops!!!!! Jimbobboy USA

Hab: Where are you located in the US? The bird may have gotten scalped on a high tension wire that sits on top of those high voltage transmission wires that run state to state!!! As one person said maybe try small butterfly strips to hold in place!!!! Bird should recover but will take awhile!!! Does it have a band on leg? If yes what does it say? Sorry Fellows: We're in for a rough ride with our birds!!! Anything (grain ) that can be used for gasoline ethnol they are using. Here in the US we've had a lot of rain and the farmers are late on their planting which means smaller yeilds . It's going to get worse! We have to cut down to our very best and are going to have to change the way we keep our birds ( numbers ). Same for our show program birds etc.

Well chaps we basket tonight for our 200_miler! Never had good results with this one in years gone by; so I'll see how I do tomorrow. Sending all 7-obs. Had one come home cut all way across chest down to leg. I think hit fence at release point came home 2nd day in the evening; she's out for the rest of season. By all means!! Getrid of moth balls!!!! Great to get rid of mice!! Put under Loft. Moth balls contain Naptna a chemical used in Napalm!!!! I'm sure I'm not spelling it correctly. Friend had these around containers in hunting cabin: deer could smell us 100 miles away cause it permeated your clothing and even plastic sandwich bags we'd use to pack our lunches!!!!! Keep out int the tool shed!!!!
