Lawie: Just built a 4x8 loft this summer. Now looking to add to make it 8x16 feet. I have 18 birds right now but it is too narrow!!! Birds are flying into each other at feeding time!! Also hens don't want to tread with cocks because of crowding. New loft will have 2-5x8 and 1-6x8 sections. Loft is very dry . Good luck jimbobboy

jimbobboy says: Back in the early 60's when the government was putting out a-bomb home shelter booklets it recomended putting no more than 3-drops of bleach to a gallon of water for storing in the shelter that's all!!! Since then it is not recomended at all either are the bomb shelters!!!!!!

With ETS #1 You don't have to be present when birds arrive home. #2 You don't have to handle birds at all after homing. It will allow you to see what order the birds are coming home. However you must weigh the cost of the system . These things aren't cheap!!!! Club has to use all same system they are not interchangeable. In the US the electronic pad must be inside the outer wall of the loft!!! Some folks can have them I think on exterior landing boards. If you don't like to be tied up on race days I believe this is for you!!! I like waiting on my birds after all I take care of them all year long. Just my thoughts!!! jimbobboy USA

George: How do you get your birds that tame? I used to use a feeding board but now I use a feeder. I think I should go back to the board seems like you got to keep them plenty hungary. On the subject of cod liver oil I put it in the feed the night before to penatrate the seeds and give the next morning I give during the moult!!! jimbobboy
