Ben: I had the same thing happen to me Sunday! Had 9- late hatches down there couple of times last summer and fall. Had one bird untrained with them. Had 2-birds 1-hr 20min. then they staggered home!! Still out 2-cocks trained to 50 mile. No trained came home in 2-days. Weather was beautiful!!! Don't know a thing sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always faced my lofts to the East and let the sun hit the front of the loft. We fly a South course and when the birds come from that side they are on target!!!! Our cold winter winds hit the back of the loft with winds out out the North North West. jimbobboy USA

Our OB and YB races start for us at 100 miles and we're on the short end of the Combine. We/I like to get our YB andOB to at least 60 mile before the 1st race at least once. I don't think we fly a 600-mile station anymore. jimbobboy usa

Just put my late hatch OBs together and let them pair themselves. Breeder/stock birds try to keep them the way I want them!! Always try to breed the Best to Best!!!!! Rule of thumb. I usually don't go by eye sign however I do look for a good eye sign!!! jimbobboy

Pedigrees don't make the bird!!! Some not worth the paper written on!! They look impressive that's all. People can put in anything they choose. jimbobboy
