Hi great that you have drawn attention to this subject and i am sure some good will come of it,In 2007 nearly 4,500 greyhounds have been homed by the Retired greyhound trust. the figures have grown in the last five years from 2,608 in2003 3,920in 2006 to 4,479 in 2007.other trusts and racetracks are active in finding homes we our selfs have managed to find homes for 11 in the past 12 months. yes the figures are a small pecentage of the waistage and horse racing has a simular problem with over production of foals. Bhw As im new to the sport its been a great help reading the adds and between the lines seeing how wide spred the sport is in the uk .All the clubs get a mention, its cheap to buy .when a lot of other sports have not got anything like this sort of cover at grassroots level. Realy its a celebration of all of you that are in the sport, so dont knock it and count yourself lucky that youve got it.... That should have done enough to get a free subcription ;D
