  1. Not sure why there doesn't seem to be any over here anymore?
  2. That's my search ended, I'm not on the 'book'.
  3. I have mate, nothing in the UK? Plenty in the States.
  4. Does anyone keep these anymore? I can't see any for sale anywhere in the UK. Since they originate in Scotland I thought this would be the best country to buy them.
  5. Thanks everyone, the amount of rubble I've inherited it'll take a few years to clear it as I'm just going to shift a couple of gorilla buckets each time I go. It's a fairly big allotment so the rubble won't stop me building a loft. I'm in Blyth Northumberland mate.
  6. It's been a lot of years in the making but it's starting to take shape. Picked up the keys to my allotment yesterday, need to sort it as it's been a dumping ground for many years by the looks of it. But it's a place I can sort out and get my first loft up and running.
  7. Nice birds dublin boy. Keep them coming fellas.
  8. Very good looking birds ovy, sorry for my ignorance but what type of pouter are they? Do you breed from them?
  9. Just googled the gaditano, to the untrained I very similar to the horseman, both look really impressive, I'm surprised both fly though. Nice birds Leroy, being a geordie I like the black and white theme.
  10. What fancy breeds do you have scotty? Plus where are the pics lads, there's breeds here I've never heard of. Did anyone see the first episode of the new mike tyson series, it's on demand on sky at the minute, there was a quick shot of his pigeon set up, it looked pretty good.
  11. Hi, are there any fancy breeds that people breed that can be flown? Also what kind of set ups do people have that breed show quality birds, if you could post pics that would be great. Thanks.
  12. Nice pic, I particularly like the brown/whites.
  13. Thats what I've got in mind, I'll be using ply for the walls and was planning a dividing wire mesh partition. What do you use for your flying birds? I was thinking about starting with a small kit of 6 YB's (half and half sex wise), flying from 1 section. Then the following year splitting the birds up hens in 1 side etc, then pairing up at the end of the season to bring in some new YB's. What would you suggest/how does that sound, I'm wanting to keep it small and fun but hopefully supply my own YB's without it getting out of hand. What months do you fly your kits and when do you breed?
  14. Thanks for the great offers lads, I will take one of you up if its an open offer, just need to sort out which place I'll be going closet to and when. And the first pic kirky is a deluxe version of what I had in mind, I have done the framework for a standard double kit box but I do like the aviary on the side. In your YB kits do you have mixed sexes or fly the cocks and hens seperately?
  15. Thanks for the offers guys, Kirky I see your from Scarborough, where you from racingsprint? Kevs speaking to his mate for me who's up in Aberdeen where I do travel to occationally. What time of year do you have your YB's, and whats the going rate for a YB from good rolling stock? To be honost I didn't think that many people on here kept rollers, so as well as a source of birds its good to know there are knowledgeable guys on here I can ask for advice. What set ups do you both use, are you using kit boxes?
  16. Not on facebook but I'm sure the wife could have a look for me, Kev Elliott knows a good breeder so is going to have a word for me. Thanks for your reply and to Kev.
  17. I'm leaving the Royal Navy later this year so I'll be in the position for the first time in over 20 years to get some birds. I've decided to go for Rollers and was wondering if anyone on here will have some YB's (Rollers) available or knows anyone who will later in the year? There's plenty for sale on gumtree and pigeonads etc but as a newby I'm not wanting to be ripped off with birds that don't roll or pay over the odds. I would like to start with proven Rollers so if anyone can help then that would be great. I'm based in the North East but travel regularly to Barrow and Scotland (Fife/Aberdeen areas. Thanks for looking.
  18. I've seen Kevins lofts and birds and they are top notch, he's a true gent.
  19. Where abouts in Cumbria are you mate?

    Where do you live Barry?
  22. What I'm after is anyone local who flies either as I've decided that I'm going to fly Tipplers or rollers as opposed to homers. Was wondering if anyone knows of any local clubs or people close by that fly one or the other. If people near by fly one breed more than the other then that may be the deciding factor in what I choose to get. I've been looking at the Wearside Tippler site, I've emailed the sec but not to sure if its still active? Where in Fife are you? I'm going up to the dockyard in september and october, do you/will you have any YB's for sale? Thanks.
