    TELFORD SHOW

I enjoyed Telford show last 2 years. Plus very handy for me, saves on postage and a meet up with friends. Surely any pigeon get together is good Defra restrictions did not help last year but should be good this year I hope.
  3. Ben as promised on other site mate pair of 2009 young birds. If you want will get some of mates to donate, think have some mates somewhere
  4. Good luck john whichever you do. Personally prefer racing hens more honest, especilly at the races I like. But 2009 sees me with strong team of cocks so maybe there will be performance there
  5. Hi John, just bought the gabys in. Will see how do. Got van reets some dean pallets, one hen scored in top 420 in mnfc three times she is good one at these races. Looking forward to racing gabys over next year. You in MNFC John? its club to be in at mo in your area. I'm lucky to be in west section as well
  6. My original bird came from clubmate, believe this came from stock bought fromSouth Wales. Then bought bird from Barber and Hilson. Bought birds from PJ lofts, these were Ken Kippax birds. Then had majority of birds from Alam Winstanley, these are from Louella in early 80's via another fancier. There is a hint of brackuis in there. Had a go at Bergerac this year so may push them there. Tarbes at moment not sure :-/ but a team flying Saintes on day consistently is the main aim. Where you from asha? what birds you got there? and what is your interest?
  7. John from Ellesmere Shropshire. Interest in 350 miles plus. Day races more, favouriteracepoint Saintes(501 miles) bought the Sion in only because a yellow. The original Yellow hen g dam of one in photo was good breeding hen for me and wanted keep colour going. In all honesty I only have a few. Main family is the Ko Nipius. Though been buying in Gabys as thought before this season bird flu would spoil the channel, pleased to say I was wrong. But will hopefully have fun with Gabys and have great team of Ko Nipius and Ko Nipius crosses(with selected channel birds) to race as 2 year olds in 2009 ;) How about yourself?
  8. Its a cock John but thanks. Sire was 520th in national few years back from Nantes in a west wind I think. Not sensational I know but good honest bird. Carded in club. One in photo not raced loaned to my dad in 2008, back in my loft now
  9. Know some do not call this yellow! It is cock bred from a mealy when paired to a yellow hen. The Mealy sire was bred from a blue cock when paired to a yellow. The nestmate to one in photo was silver cheq hen. The yellow cock in photo was paired to cheq hen(from Red cheq x Mealy) and produced a red cock and yellow hen. Breeding of pictured cock is Busschaert x an old family believe from Dover area sold in 50's(sorry name slipped me at mo) x Sion Think you will get Yellows but may be next generation

  21. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/8ft-x-22ft-wooden-shed_W0QQitemZ290252409570QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item290252409570&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318 Wow this is great one not sure if has floor but if price was right that would be no prob
  22. Think may just be walked in damp sam, but if close people could always check before buying. Photos taken in rain I think. Can tell season nearly over looking at sheds ;D
  23. Just been nosing on ebay, great shed there at moment, cheap if live in somerset http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/15-x-5-OVERLAP-PENT-SHED-L-K-CHEAP_W0QQitemZ220267457410QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220267457410&_trkparms=72%3A984%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14.l1318
  24. Forgot to say! make sure line of salt is on outside of loft. The birds will go wild over it if inside but not sure will be too much good to them.
  25. Nikki only suggestion till new shed sorted is look for the obvious trails left by the slugs and put line of household salt across them, this will stop them also maybe a line across the door. A cheap solution, and worth a try. You can treat worms by tablets or water treatment, if prefer not use tablets then suggest harka-verm which place in water. Getting tablet into throat can be hard at times so best in water, pm if struggle to get some harka verm. Have you any photos of new shed? Hope recovering from accident.
