medication to old cocks not filling
deanbruton replied to bluewhiteflight's topic in Products & Medication
further to my previous post if receptal doen't work nothing will then its a case of deciding the pigeons fate. Follow the correct dose, jab when you first pair them if eggs are clear jab a second time hopefully it works for you. We tried on several old pigeons with a majority producing full eggs one cock bird hadn't filled for 3 years and since he has filled every egg this year, now being 14 years old. Hope this helps any more info pm me. -

i believe you should rear 1 pair of yb's to bond the pigeon to its new box, creating a desire to home faster. Also you should rear from most of your race birds beacause if they are not good enough to take a pair of yb's from they are not good enough to have in the loft in the first place.
-
highly recommend these birds, terrific pedigree and performance to match. We were lucky to race a pair of yb's 2007 same way bred, which were 2 cocks 1 came to win when we had 12 together and the other won a 1st and 3rd.

paul, next year we are trying a team of 12 widowhood hens and also a team of widowhood cocks. Haven't tried this before new loft has just gone up, will depend on amout of time i will have next year just all plans in my head at moment. Always wasted good hens so next year i have picked the best out and they will be raced so will have 2 chances to win.

all our birds ar locked up during the winter too many losses with predators, especially now with not much food about, will start letting them out in January after they have been on depurative for a couple of days to shed the winter weight.
-
at only £30 its worth a punt at that to race
-
cheap pigeons at that price, i think there is a 0 missing somewhere. With regards to breed i dont think it matters the winners will comeout somewhere.

nice set of birds stuart, should do people some good, also nice to see either yearlings or yb's and not old used stock birds. Good luck with sale..............
-
the spelling is rietvink, a little bit of info he sold birds to bert braspenning in 1990 and 1993 before selling up in 94 to Galaxy Jack, he was in partnership with Piet Valk who still flys on his own, a lot of lofts in UK have these pigeons and fly well with them. If you need any more let me know
-

apparently paul they hadn't payed lib site fee for newbury, thats why they fetched them back beyond me why the driver could not pay at site, also powers that be must have known this what a fiasco, just somes the fed up this season, just disaster after the other and what a race..........
-
hi paul with ref to your original quote. I believe the rhondda valley transporter is a good one just look at their racing and returns this year. Our new state of the art transporter which has cost us a lot of money has not improved racing but has taken us back years ie bad returns, pigeons this year barely doing 40mph birds returning thirsty old and young and most not returning, is this progress i ask??????
