  1. hi see after meeting last night the dates have changes again to:- Maidstone SEPT 1ST Ramsgate SEPT 8TH RAMSGATE (2) SEPT 22nd
  2. with regards to them winning in holland, Leen Boers, camphius, grondelaar and beaverdam had pigeons from bert to name a few but it never comes to light when they win where they come from. The same thing happens in the uk pigeon fanciers never like telling where they got their pigeons from just in case someone else gets them.................
  3. yes stuart got to agree with you, on the south east where we fly now only 4 channel races that's probably why, good inland pigeons but need a cross to fly channel, or use them to put speed into other channel birds. With regards to bert he is expensive with nearly all his good pigeons now sold, he only flys now descendents of pigeons sold to louella or pigeons we have in the stock loft. As i say good pigeons though we had them from 2000 looking for decent distance pigeons now to fly 500 plus miles.
  4. we have never had problems with them and its the only family we have except for a couple of other janssens. you do get bad and good in every strian, the other problem is how far you buy them from pigeons which have been raced because the homing instinct goes. Has for hard races most of pigeons clocked are braspennings one cock from bergerac 509 miles 18th welsh national 2005, from cholet 350 miles 11th welsh national, this year from huy 7th welsh south east neional 381 miles. These birds can and will win on hard days our results prove this for us and other fanciers who have birds from us.
  5. hi paul sorry to see you were thinking of calling it a day with birds, its never easy even if you are in the best of health, hope you stay with them. all the best dean
  6. as previously posted braspennings are janssen based, which will win up to 500 miles depending what lines they are bred from. Mostley blues and cheqs with odd white flight and pied which tend to be breeders with a lot of white on them, hope this helps. what lines are the one you got
  7. yes the welsh south east fed were in ramsgate this morning liberated at 6.00am
  8. its only the federation going to ramsgate and not the national just been informed.
  9. hi paul also heard this, not sure of basketing what a complete farce to go back to 200 miles where people have pigeons prepared to fly 500 mile, just a sprint race just as well forget about it. Probably only reason race arranged for them to charge you £6 which they would have lost.
  10. yes got to agree not very good organisation, with bad racing supposely moving transporter, separate lib at one national and as you say no forsight to arrange another race. The overseas program was non existent with just 4 races and not really thought out. I wish our club had not turned from the south road. The losses this year not only overseas but inland have been astronomical, with a state of the art transporter to make racing better we seem to be going backwards.
  11. it was posted on national website today at lunchtime, so something must have prompted this today. What seems strange is no alternative race planned.
  12. the welsh south east national basketing 10th july has been cancelled due too defra restrictions no alternative national being arranged.
  13. hi i keep over 30 yb's and would be interested let me know

  17. don't know any times yet we clocked at 4.51
  18. yes you are right lots of problems this year people resigning etc. Birds liberated at 8.00am did you manage to see liberation............

    Any libs ?

welsh south east national up at 8.00 am 381 miles
  20. that's probably why they held over didn't get there in time, makes you think whats been happening this year with all the bad racing.
  21. still 4 cocks missing from saturday the rest noy very good for this week. Fifty mins behind winner in club vel roughly doing 1278. The one thing which annoys rhondda valley held in newbury til 1pm because of bad weather also the same thing happened the last reading race.
  22. ours were the same best 2 cocks took 5 hrs. we were nearly an hour behind club winner.
