WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING OVER THERE THE PLACE MUST BE ALIVE WITH THESE VERMIN

WHAT I MEAN IS WHY DARKEN DISTANCE BRED YOUNG BIRDS WHEN THE LONGEST YOUNG BIRD RACE IS 250 MILE THEIR HARDLY GOIN TO BEAT SPRINT BRED BIRDS SURELY WHICH SHOULD BE DARKENED ANYWAY,STRANGE THESE MEN WHICH DARKEN THEIR BIRDS ALWAYS SEEM TO HAVE A NATURAL BATCH AS WELL DO THEY NO SOMETHING WE DONT.

have never darkened them dont really see the point darkening distance bred birds but to be competive and have a bit of fun in young bird races you really have to ,i would like to hear other peoples opinion on darkening distance young birds,is it worth the bother.

you will get them on but if u cant seek help from someone quick its better than leaving them unrung,larger type pigeons have bigger feet like people takes the buggers rung at 6 days no later some smaller breeds do at 8 days but get going dont leave it any longer good luck.

no but have read about it and checked certain birds and found most i checked the knuckle was in the middle of thumb ,dont really believe in it i think the long /short back wing theory would be more accurate for telling long /short distance birds any try it on proven birds.

i know what you mean but a lot of people use the shorter races to get them fit for the longer ones especially the guys that cant afford to train their birds due to rising fuel costs and lack of club trainers and that is a problem here,but i know what u mean mark by coming home fresh.

i used it before but truthfully cant see any difference in condition, one thing i do know the birds hate the taste of it,as mine are on open hole if they can get water elsewere they wont touch their own, my friend uses it every day and his birds are no better condition than my own, i cant be bothered with it anymore iam goin leave it out but one thing i should add is i have wild garlic growing in the garden and the birds are forever stripping the leaves of them they cant get enough of them all year round.

instead of dowell use the round plastic pipe for putting electric wire up far better job and much cheaper than dowell rods conduit u call it available at b/q or any electric wholesaler.
