  1. Try RV Woodcraft - do a search on google.. Fantastic range of "cheap" training crates (Budget crate £17 ea plus postage) Very helpful people
  2. Hungerford (6mile west of Newbury) Early mist burning off - gonna bit a hot one (clear blue skies) ;D ;D
  3. Think logically......... The average fancier breeds 30 yb and is lucky if he gets 2 good ones Multiply that by mass production :-/ :-/ :-/ (lets say x 100) Maths = 3000yb (200 good ones), equates to 2800 x crap :o
  4. In the past (think mid nineties was last time)we have tried the racing kits of youngsters - but to no avail (none left at end of season etc, they was healthy enough but that was all. then we tried their allfair auctions, Staf Van Reet strain - bought three 1 @ £240, 1 @ £110 and 1 x £90....never bred a performance pigeon in the 3yrs we raced their offspring (actually the £240 bird was bought as a grand daughter of daniel and after 3 months of trying to pair to our No1 stock cock, actually had to find a hen for it, cos it was a cock & this was a 3yr old pigeon) Then as a benefit of the doubt in the 2001 we tried a couple of their pedigree pairs they sell during the winter at £75 per pair.......only to recieve them by amtrak to find a pencil cock with mild PMV (actually neck/head on one side!!) Spoke to Micheal, and his response was "we are a breeding stud and with the number of birds we send out there is bound to be some abnormalities" - what a sack of kak. These birds were returned and will never be used again....we gave them 3 x chances...i think that was fair....But we know other fanciers who have had them and score with offspring, just not us?
  5. : this i believe we should all do, if you have mice in your loft - you will find form very hard to come by....birds not resting, increase in chance of disease etc
