    Open Loft

had a open loft for a while but the hawk put a stop to that > ive got cd,s hanging around my loft and garden and i also play the eagle owl cd on a regular basis which seems to have done the trick but as far as open lofts go i personally wouldnt risk it i spose it depends on what part of the country you live in really but saying that i think sparrowhawks are pretty much everywhere now > whats the hawk situation in the u.s. debbie
  6. i totally agree with pecked hen about non fanciers not knowing where to look for wing stamps i collected a stray on behalf of another fancier from a non fancier and was told that the pigeon wasnt wing stamped but when i collected it the lady explained that she had only looked on the outside of the wing the pigeon was stamped and ended up being transferred to me ive recently reported three strays and two of the owners couldnt have cared less and asked me to release them (both yb,s)out so hopefully they could make their own way home needless to say both have returned to me and im now waiting for the owners to make arrangments to collect the birds i can now understand why some fanciers dont bother reporting strays debbie

    SCUM

very sorry to hear what these pondlife have done to normans birds, the only language these sh-tb-gs understand comes in the form of a baseball bat, i dont like violence but as they say theres a time and a place for everything this so-called goverment of ours are never going to start dishing out real punishment as the poor souls in the dock are misunderstood and really only need a holiday > >
  19. hi i was gifted some birds from a fancier called wally (watson, i think ?) who used to fly in the new eltham social fc club in essex in the 70,s or 80,s before moving to sussex when i collected the birds from wally he was very poorly so i didnt ask for any details of the birds and left him to rest, i would be very grateful if any fanciers who knew wally could give me any info on the birds such as strain? sprint or distance birds? etc im sorry to be the bearer of bad news to anyone who knew wally as im sure he would have had some good friends in essex with him being aged 80-90 years when he passed over, i also have a basket with the name w j hedges written on it with an address in hadleigh, essex any info would be much appreciated r.i.p wally debbie
