hi all, pot, kettle and black come to mind with the disabled discrimination act as far as pigeon fanciers and the rpra are concerned i think and this is how,if i apply for membership of say club a,i need to be voted in by the members, but then again the members can vote not to let me in for no reason, now thats discrimination.

jhono all the facts in your post are not facts ie:convoys of around 600. well 126 in my book is not around 600. but lets not get stupid. the one fact i do know is that there are a lot of realy good fanciers up in scotland and no matter where they race the cream will come to the top. but your thread is under the banner"joint convoying",may i ask what the financial situation of each club has to do with joint convoying. surely if both clubs are at the same racepoint then it would make financial sense to convoy and liberate together. if you dont do this then i can assure you that other fanciers both here in england and the rest of europe will only look on and say "those guys are only interested in politics not pigeons", and i feel this would be totally unfair to the normal run of the mill back garden fancier who is more interested in pigeons and not the politics of pigeons. and may i also say that i would state my life on it that if i were a fly on the wall at a commitee meeting for either club, snfc or snrpc and the topic of racepoints were being discussed that i would hear one or more officials saying something along the line of"we are not going to that racepoint, the other mob are there",. to me there are two national racing clubs in scotland and surely for the financial state of both clubs go to the same inland race points and channel if possible and everyone would save money and there would be strength in numbers for the pigeons. anyway jhono, are you for or against joint convoying and why?
-
one of the snrpc races 2007 had only 126 or there abouts.FACT. practice what you preach jhono. in saying that i wish the fanciers in scotland would STOP all this childish "we are better than you", crap attitude. in the big picture of it all the sport in scotland is becoming a laughing stock. all you guys seem to do is fight. if you raced as well as you fought with one another my god you would have some racing.

guys, get a grip..if livestock were that simple the richest guys in the world would win everything, they would just have to buy the best racers and breeders. i know a realy famous fancier in holland who out of the same pair bred 2 years in a row pigeons to finish top ten in there big yb national race and this year he had ten from said pair and all were lost in 3 races. livestock dosent work that way.

how do they know it was the best young bird they had?
-
hi all, if some clubs dont want to race then that is there perogative, just like it was the perogative of all fed members to vote on the motion to go west. the rules are there and the transporter will be there to pick the birds up,go if you like or dont go.SIMPLE.
-
WHAT A CHILDISH THING TO DO. whoever is puting forward this proposal is nothing more than a trouble maker. in fact i thought it would be in the intrest of the snfc to move for members of the rpra to be able to fly with them, but then again maybe im on drugs.

hi all, not a member of said fed,but would like to make a few observasions. no 1:dont thin g.macaloney would like himself being used as an excuse, the guy lets his birds do the talking. no.2:was this race rout decided at an official meeting, and voted on by members present,if the answer is yes then what is the problem,a democratic vote decided it. no.3:at the last general election i voted tory, labour won,i accepted it becouse it was the democratic decision of the people who voted. sorry cant see why thers any argument. GO TO THE MEETINGS AND VOTE,OR WERE YOU ALL TOO BUSY ON PIGEONBASICS AND FORGOT THE MEETING WAS ON.

anybody gonnae tell us the sort of prices they wre making
-
i think too many fanciers dont think whats actually in the sky,1960 6 landings and 4 departures from my local airport daily, wich is an international airport now, today over 150 of each daily. the skys are busier than the roads now.
-
why would no one be able to catch someone becouse there using ets? i think the anti brigade should look at the facts or should i say fact as the bottom line is this,THE BIRDS STILL HAVE TO GET FROM RACEPOINT TO LOFT,ETS DOSENT SUDDENLY MEAN THEY CAN GET TO THE LOFT QUICKER.
-
thanks for the tips everybody, will try a couple of the things
-

aye a great leveller,my ars.come on now south in the wind is a blow home, you know it and i know it.its then anybodys race even the guys who cant win a club or fed race clock in before, how shall i put it,the harder working fancier. but as someone said the best birds for those conditions did win the race in each region. but they better not look for a chap on the door by people looking for doos,as people who look at the results would not even touch doos who fly north and win in a south wind. and as a matter of FACT IN THE FIRST 70 ofthe open result lastweek there was a grand total of FIVE yes i will repeat that FIVE pigeons from the west section on the result,WAT HAPPENED TO THIS "GREAT SPREAD OF PIGEONS FROM ALL REGIONS" AND THERS A FACT
-
i would say unless bruno can see into the future tammy that he is predicting that there will be early ones in the west,i predict diffrently. the fact will tell us all tomorow
-
well we will see tommorow,i realy do hope your right bruno for the west fanciers sake, but fear you are way out with your prediction.
-
hi all, if i were racing into the west of scotland or maye even central wih tmmorows forecast i wold not be going as its a north wind and they have no chance, the east will fill the first 50-80 open positions. when the snrpc wet last week it was south inthe wind, and with all due respect to the winners who raced very well,it was not a name who was winning it was also rans, and thats why if you look at the result you will find that most section winners have not even won there federatio so far this year and some not even a club race this year. what im trying to say is that when thers south in the wind its the lucky rather than good that win. the romancers will say a good sread of birds all over in the result, but the reality is the lucky win in a south wind into scotland.

i stand crrected as the info i was told was that the midlothian fed were up at 7.30,if it was 7.05 i stand corrected, sorry to the race controller too.
-
tyson, i have a lot of friends up in scotland, and they were racing with the snrpc from wanstead flats, these are well known and some past winners of nationals up there and this is there slant on things. snrpc up at 7.00am,midlothian up at 7.30am,about 70-75miles further up the road at leicester, and the full convoy going full pelt with a south wind. fair chance they will meet up and come up the road together the midlothian fed have the same race controller as the snrpc, and with every other fed sitting at leicester until later i and a lot of fanciers are drawing only one conclusion, god help the birds trying to go west. that race controller should resign as he has a conflict of duty,to one or the other, and now we had hundreds if not thousands of pigeons put up in fog or mist to satisfy this conflict. if i raced in midlothian i would ask for his resignation and if i raced in the west side of the snrpc i would also be asking fot it. we can all make and forgive mistakes but when it hurts the birds they cant speak but we can and we must speak up for them. deplorable race controlling.
