Copied from Facebook 26th August ****Email the RPRA have sent out this afternoon regarding the Brighton liberation site..... first time I’ve known them to warn organisations over any site**** Good afternoon. I wanted to make you aware that we have had multiple reports of peregrines at Brighton which has resulted in some loss of birds. According to reports as the peregrines can see and hear the pigeons on the lorries prior to liberation they wait and attack them in the valleys as they are flying, and the pigeons then have nowhere to go and some are being killed. As they are wild predators we are unable to do anything to resolve the issue, other than advise you of it and I understand that the welfare of the pigeons is paramount. If you would like to cancel your upcoming liberation because of this and book an alternative site, then please either email me at this address or telephone 01452 713529, option 1 for the RPRA and then option 3 for racing support and I can check the availability of an alternative site. In terms of invoicing if you choose to cancel your liberation you will not be charged the Brighton site fee as you will not have attended but you will be required to to pay a £10 site administration fee which is payable for each liberation site whether you attend it or not.

This will be addressed at the AGM, as any new start won't be long packing it in when he or she can't get on the result, you only get 1 first in a race
