Not so rediculous at your statement .. and when a person is out side the loft looking, waiting etc. it is a proven fact!

The sperm compatibility of lincospectin in the framework of the Federal Republic of Germany customary bull sperm preservation methods with the use of a Tris egg yolk thinner (clinical short report)] Krause D, Weitze KF, Waberski D. Regulations considering the inner-community-exchange of frozen bovine semen prescribe the use of lincomycin and spectinomycin (LINCOSPECTIN) and streptomycin-penicillin as antibiotics in the diluted semen. A susceptibility test with Tris-egg yolk-freezing medium, mostly used in Germany, demonstrated that lincospectin in a concentration of 450 micrograms/ml diluted semen had no detrimental spermatologic effect on sperm function. Wel I stick to being a Nayer or whatever that is, being uneducated there like, because I don't see how any one can do without Jesus himself being present and leanding a hand. When folks have helpers, it would still take at least 1/1/2 seconds without getting in the way. No Hycinth I agree totally you can do it, and I am being totally honest and sincere, I could put 4 in myself.... But not from the time they hit the traps to getting 4 into a thimle etc. and clocking them within 5 seconds. But I will live and constantly but hopefully in the real world.
-
I agree with you John.... But lets bring in because it is a blumming good thing to bring in, and one that every one can benefit from. I have seen them in use in this country (England) and both america's etc. besides the continent, as you well know. And yes with 'Terms' available, a little forethought to help it be able for any and everyone then it will take off. And so it should. Whether they would still be able to be used on the allottments etc. you would obviously know better than me. And yes ET doesn't make the birds fly faster, but isn't cool that they can just swoop in without even seeing you, let alone havng to be handled. Let's hope what it is precieved to be, and the codswallop that it is a legistattrating thing be kicked into touch as they should be. Lets have the honesty that one wants one for a few reasons other than gaining a few seconds each bird. After all one can use them now for training etc. etc. and nothing said as it is all fine and above board. So I say that for the next 20 years a rule applied that can be broke, that Et are penalised 17 seconds per bird.... after 20 years everyone will have one any way. And let's not have the sweeteners put forward till certain bodies have it passed then go back for the skin! Yes we have all had birs crashing nigh to get in ... but not often, and certainly not after been trap shy. Most have to be enticed or coax, called in. and that takes time. Also remember that widowerhood normttrap faster, and more nad more are flying the natural, which don't tend to trap as fast. Thanks John for the advice... I had only given just under half the dosage.... fingers crossed

Hyacyncths great, and John Pepper use to clock thenm to he's hand in the lofts open door. and he couldn't have done that, so I grant you you are Billy Whizz of the clockinhg, to release an bird and pik another up even in your dreams would take longer. Now most have tp stand back and call etc. then approach the loft etc. . Sorry don't know why I bother with peoples imaginations put forward as a fact. It takes me 3 seconds to get to the trap, let alone take out a pigeon and then take a rubber off, then release the bird, then put rubber in the thimble before placing the thimble in the clock, before I turn it. And I you can do another 3 as well - if not scared of the trap when the first went in, let alone the other two.... Yes ET is great, but I think that one mustn't get carried away with their pro imaginations and stick to reality. Bully for those that have two on one shoulder, and one on the other waiting to be clocking in .... even then Jesus would have to intervene to do four in 4 seconds.... Mind boggles. Yes obviously ET has advantages for both those able to use them and those that have them.... Have seen two thimbles in the clock ... instead of one being a few seconds ahead, you have lost time ... 2/3rd fine. Remember Bary having two together and asking if I'd had put them both in one thimble.... I said no, needn't prove they arrive, or better stil prove they clocked together. That's right Roly, Pete was a part second behing the first clocked bird and well in front of my second.... a few seconds different obviously to time them both in.... Like he said, if I 'd have put both in I'd been second and third, not 1st and 3rd. Factss

Rose can see where you at, you seem to me to be lost in the mist lol. Doesn't take a genious to work out how long to walk the 10 feet or more with out scaring the bird(s) and then when there is two or three. I's say 17 seconds on every bird would be fair. but those that can afford will certainly not like that. For in factuality they believe - rightly or wrongly - that they are entitled to their cake and eat it, and elbow power to every advantage to themselves. E T the bird swoops in, the fancier makes their sound whatever it may be It lands, mostly pauses and heads through the trap. Most drive through with the stick. And this is also used of course every feed time. NO manual trapping is anything like as fast, not stall traps even, espeacially when you lose a lot of time on the second third birds. ET they walk through nigh together. and never get trap shy. But it will be here sooner than later, not for the good of the sport etc. nor the many good attributes it has, which are many, no for those wishing to gain a little over the others that can't, and to allow all in the clocks etc.with a feeble, wel couldn't as it was... etc. Because no - wants a card, a place if they are told that certain ones have already knocked out some birds from the clock ...

Hyacinth may I suggest that you place some sensible thought on that rather silly comment that you spouted. It is a realistically proven fact. No just by many pigeon fanciers but independant bodies that did a throurough examination. Just a few years back about 5 Brittian was was praised by it's stance over the ET and many things that came up have been altered by the America's and the continent. IT cost the RPRA a lot of money to commission it. and two weeks spred in the BHW and Racing Pigeon as well. That is NOT the problem though as I see it. For those that agree first of and say fine now with kick up dirt and moan and whinge a little down the line spout how hard done by they are, and it is fair and they are being penalised for having somehing that everyone else can have if they want. The mere fact that most can't due to costs and their cloth will quickly be pushed aside as they greedily go for broke. Yes they will agree to anything to get it in. All sorts of sweetener and low introductionary costs etc. Which again only the more able will be able to take advantage of. No Hyacinth I suggest you think twice and then thrice more before you say silly things like that. And the time is for birds not trap shy of course, which EVERY week the ET will gain a little more. And finally remember it is the Hyped up bird that is usually in front, and due to that condition extra alert and thinking / noticing.

Only reason, as far as I can se, or believe, for short training tosses is if they need confidence boosters. which means that they aren't happy, let alone content in their' home. After all, just what does one think they can or do teach them! Where are we here? So we treat them like silly kids! or think of them as humans! Everyone to their own as many roads lead... but surely it is for the fanciers own comforts, or lack of faith they are molly cuddled.
-
Like I say you only break birds in within 3 days... just have to retrieve some a few time granted. But as soon as they accept your loft, them their confidence grows. But of course they must feel safe and sucure in the loft. The safer the easier to brake.
-
I'm perfect! And even I made a mistake once ... well thought I had, but that was a mistake, so mistakes etc. do happe. Yeah leave the kid alone, he has time on his side.... lol
-
When Molly cuddled I lose too many.. all very well 3- 5 in each directin thenincrease 2/3 miles in all directions. Should really just do a 20 mile straight off and then any direction of 20 miles each day... never train further. Always going to lol... but it is 30 odd then 3/4 anywhere and into first race...

Garden Lime is GOOD.... Never ever heard of any one that blamed it, or putting a finger at it in reality regards the E. Coli cobblers. Nothing and everything can and shouldn't be usd if a part of it's properties were on their own...
-
Can this be cleared, or rather should be cleared. 'chronic carriers: pigeons that appear healthy after surviving salmonella infection, but shed the pathogen at irregular intervals and thus pose a risk to the current flock and their progeny...' for it is possible I would assertain that one not showing the effects / or fancier not realising, on a safty first basis.... Of course this is the part when entails the warning of 'Mating' from above I would imagine. Unless there is more to know.
-
Yep Stu, with you all the way ... Or ask them up front a few times if they will be into helping you scrape out! Then a month or two when you say 'Well it looks like I'l be having to clean out on me own then' ! They will quickly say... 'As you please, do as you like - but oh politely -BUT don't expect us to help' lol.... They'll be only too pleassed not to mention pigeons, let alone your loft lol! Ian seriously that will work lol.
-
I always use Garden Lime, as often stated. Many say that the properties encourage E. Coli, but I have never seen or believed this. I use a damp cloth to dab and run it into the wood. This stops it swirling around and getting into their eyes. - Quite bad if that happens. It is sweet and fresh smelling and takes only minutes. Often a seasons beginning I have just made a think concoction of Lime and water and painted out the entire loft.

Murphy use to be wheat and Barley close season ... ok was from local farms and cost effective. Only things you have to worry about barley are If they get fat, they are hell to get back in shape, and that it can and wcould cause toxins in their system if over fed... yes like most things one gets away with it for yonks, but when it hits... it hits real hard.

Nice one Redcheqhen... sure it is appreciated... sapper756 how true, knocked me sideways for 15 months.... still one or two not good. I use to get the natural peat for Joyce, as she likes the potting around in the garden ... didn't thing or check it when Joyce bought some just noted they were smaller bags than I'll get, but then she had to carry I summised... But when too late I realise it was cheap chemical fertaliser Potting ... you have one real up and downer with that I can assure you. Few died, I was abroad and it really peeve me mate off. He phone a mutural mate that said he wouldn't come over to have a look incase it comtamidated his birds via carrying it into his loft via his shoes, but to nexk any that was right! I didn't breed from them of course, bought in y/b's and lost most when they were hit by a Barnsle / sheffield way Federation Mid week race ... out just letting out... Still won't breed from them1 Potting / Plants... her indoors are a menace lol.

Yep put it up mucker...

I was told as a Tesco manager years ago, and the same philosophy remains there to - day apparently... Better to sell 9 at 2/6 (12 p) profit than 3 at 3/6 (17p) profit! And I personally believe that to be as true to - day as it has ever been. I really do believe that many have lost sight of what is actually ‘Beyond means’ in regards the average working class. £5: 35p x 40 equals approx 213 before stoppages! I also believe – as stated many time, that the price / costs to a youngster starting up, let alone maintained is too absorbent for most. Many to – day struggle still to come out with £200 in the wage package, that’s IS the cloth to start cutting away at. Now if one has 2/3 youngsters and the wife only can contribute with an evening Bar Job or whatever, then £20 per week (£1000) is a lot to fork out. And that is nowhere near what the realism of costs are… just what one tries to convince the wife is lol - A tenth of cross earnings for starters! Then there is training costs, and then an endless list. Have a clever ideas man in our club… no diplomacy whatsoever… won’t buy above ½ pint and still orange for misses per night. Stays for a fun – raiser and has one bet. He wins a fiver and dashes of home. Now has a real good income. Idea all expenses for the coming race season paid upfront … which means you don’t then pay for your racing –no you have ALREADY PAID – same for those OAP’S etc. –‘Time you paid your way instead of others keep subsiding you says he!. £150 - £180 per year and you can pay by instalments if you wish etc. A 1/3 resigned straight off before the AGM. And ten it never got through of course because it would have been £250 per person. This time around… 5 y/b’s £2 each, only to be counted in the race… then say 30p – 50p the others as ‘Trainers’ Sure he HAS the money, the means, won’t put up for oat, won’t come to any more fund – raisers.! No! If one wants the sport to continue, let alone expand, then we need to encourage those already in it to stay. Costs there have to be checked, so those WHON CAN ONLY send 2 or 3 per week can still send. I daren’t ascertain a guess their numbers or percentage, but it is high, and rather that feel embarrassed in saying so, they send even less, or pack up.

Tammy, Tammy, Tammy, behave lol. Anyway isn't about Time that the NFC / MNFC / BICC etc. put in a clause that if Racing is permitted over the channel next season but again curtailed to 31 July, that hey will start y/b's programe earlier to enable a few channel races... save even mid June! Was a time whe birds didn't go together till Mid March and many still don't, and even later so they would be quite able... that's if any one wants y/b's over the Channel instead of say Sennon Cove!

Parrots eh! Must cross mine with parrots ... so they can't ask their way home, or shprt cuts I guess too.
