  2. Brilliant result for Angus Federation members. Congratulations to Charlie & Glen Cameron, 1st Section, 1st Open SNFC with the same pigeon which was 3rd Open last year. Also Gordon Campbell 3rd Section, 6th Open SNFC with the same pigeon which was 3rd Federation from Roye last year and would have been 3rd Section 4th Open SNFC if Gordon had been a SNFC member. Macaulay, Ferguson & Curran are 4th Section, 10th Open SNFC with their pigeon which won a Silver Award last season. Going for Gold next season Gavin? Angus Fed. Roye.pdf

  4. Last years result
  5. I would doubt it Andy but that is controllers call. Unfortunate for working fanciers but weather and wind direction are better for a first young bird race on Friday

Well done to the convoyer. The birds were in great condition despite six nights in the baskets. And also well done to the race control team. A thankless task and some unjustified comments on here before the race. Congratulations on a job well done.

The birds have been liberated at 6.00 a.m. Light South West wind.
  11. Shouldn’t be a problem. If he is trying to put in 2019 as the year it will default to 19. NEHU numbers are all 4 digits as far as I know.

I don’t think it’s the rain that caused the losses. I think the majority of the birds didn’t cross the channel. There have been races like this before with heavy losses and very few turning up. A few years ago I got 2 birds within half an hour (1 from Ypres and 1 from Clermont) 2/3 weeks after the race. Both looked like they had been flying all day. I was convinced at the time they had either been liberated in England or had come from Holland or wherever that day.

    Snfc Gold Cup

I said good bye yesterday and I hope to see them on Friday or Saturday. You can lose them from a 10 mile toss nowadays. As you obviously haven’t checked the entry is up almost 200 on last year. Did the SNRPC go to Reims today or did they listen to your wisdom?

Don’t usually respond to ignorance but for your information the temperature forecast for the race point is 25 tomorrow and 27 on Friday.
