they wouldnt have had them ready no doubt , Louella used to ring couriers up on specific days for collections , bet they were not ready probably were short staffed but thats no good to flying couriers should make them pay for the waisted journey , not good for courier or customer no wonder there last courier went bust

pigeons have the benifit of flying pretty high i guess they head for nearest visable land but who knows , some say smell so perhaps pollen is caried on the wind which would give them the lands dirrection
