  1. im supprised the local council hasent stepped in as thats what normaly happens at Scarborough all council tax payers pay for the likes of Stevens Joesph theatre ectra , besides if Blackpool loose the winter gardens the whole town looses out think of the revenue they must make from the car parks alone ,then you have the trade the hotels have at this time , if it is the case then surely the R.P.R.A should be looking at a more central location , and a bigger site to have it then more would attend
  2. few more miles and they wont fly over , breaking points can work to an advantage but only if they break from such a point wind can make them come an alternative route , you have to take the rough with the smooth , if birds go over they tend to favour the side of the wind where the furthest flyer is as the birds worjking back will reach furthest loft first , it also could be overloading the birdfs with too much grub as well and they are just flying for fun
  3. well done to all the winners

  8. yup alsort right we can differ but i also knew a fancier that dipped all his birds in radox on return from a race and a very good flyer
  9. i wouldnt use the salts as it has an opposite effect and makes feathers brittle as salt aborbs oils hence why cheifs use it to soak up oil spills in a kitchen
  10. i have to agree whilst moulting this is a big stress for the birds so the best foods and supliments are needed to ensure the moult goes well a birds feathers tells you the condition of a bird as these feathers keep them alive dry / warm / cool / waterproof , so i encourage my birds to prean themselves by give baths as near often as they want
  11. probably as he asked how to get the feathering silky now on his birds , the moult is the most important part , selenium which is scientificaly proven to promote good feathering is in linseed and also has many other great health propertys in it , and this i mix up in my small seeds mix to help condition my birds i add my small seed mix to make my dupurative and also to there daily feed
  12. its prety simple realy pigeons have a oil gland which they use when preaning there feathers so how to get them silky is to make them prean there feathers to produce the oil that water proofs the feathers , depleated or old oil drys out and creates bloom
