Welcome To Pigeon Basics Dimetrodon , We hope you enjoy the site where about do you live ? then i can point to towards the correct union there you'l get to know which clubs are in your area for you . Are you private or rented accomadation ? if rented you would need permision from your land lord or association to keep pigeons , however as you have a shed already you could apply for a change of use , most lofts have to be 1 metre away from all boundarys , im sure if you can give more details then we can best give you as much information as you will need , i wish you all the best Regards Mark

have read maybe from 'OLD HAND' that when feeding a high quantity of peans beans and pulse that white dari should be added to lighten the mix but too much protein can give them gout and if has a brown shell it can poison them as this material isnt digestable hence no more than 80% beans peas and pulses in a mix perhaps this article by C.S will explain more http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1195378849/s-0/highlight-maple/#num0

Welcome to Pigeon Basics Flyingsolo , we look forward to your posts , enjoy our site -
re droppings , i find the colder it is the heat from the droppings actualy attract moisture as obviously the heat of the dropping is warmer than the air around it , if your wanting the firmer white cap on nut brown droppings feed more maples no more than 80 % maples ( this can be a mixture of peas beans pulses ) 20% wheat / barley ( i mix my wheat and barley 4 barley to 1 wheat )

What aload of Crap Linda Brookes should spend a week with a fanciers thats getting attacked by bops , trial not even run fer a year baterys last 9 days this study on the face of it must of been headed by Chuckle Brothers with several 3 year olds kids in data control , beyond a joke and back to square one , no-one gives a dam about a few pet pigeons wether there racing or otherwise , use as many deterents as you want guys the only way to fight any war is to stand up and be counted , my birds are my lifestock , lifestock can be classified as food , the bop is a theif , minum for steeling another mans food is 12 months however ill be the judge and jury and determine the bops sentance -
saw dust from a Saw mill can contain desil / oil depending how they process the wood , i would imagine as these are safe for horses should be fine for birds its the build up of amonia if the dropping dont dry quick enough , adding lime helps

Hi New members introduce yourselfs here Welcome to Pigeon Basics You've signed up but can't post ???? This is probably due to your membership not having been validated. When you signed up you should have received an email with a link to click on - this is the validation process. Sometimes this email gets swallowed up by an over eager spam filter. So check your Junk mail folder, or Spam folder on your email account. If you can't find the email, or think you typed your email address incorrectly, just send me an email at forum@pigeonbasics.com and I'll manually validate your account, and amend your email address if needs be. You've forgotten your username/password First thing first, if you can't remember your username (or not sure you've got it right) you can enter the email address you signed up with in the username box, and providing you've got your password right you'll be signed in as normal. If you've forgotten your password, if you click the Forgotten Password link by the login box you will be asked to fill in your email address. Make sure its the same email address that is associated with your account. You will then receive an email that contains a special link that will enable you to reset your password. Once again, if you don't get this email, check your Junk or Spam folders, and if you still have problems email me at forum@pigeonbasics.com. Whatever the circumstance don't try and sign up again. This only causes more confusion, as you will have to have a completely new email address, and the crossover of usernames and passwords causes problems later down the line. Anyhow, having multiple member accounts (without a pre-approved valid reason) is against our rules.
