yup advice spot on ensure you get the oil off the skin massage liquid in and keep rinsing id wrap up in a towel and sit on a semi warm hot watter bottle so doesnt preen itself also give a charcoal tablet to clean it out as may have ingested some

As said check BHW for liberations from lerwick over weekend and arrange fer a driver to take it to main land / liberate closer to home or meet them on way back

Best bet is check liberations for lerwick and arrange to get it to main land with one of wagon drivers

Forget strains get as many old b.h.w from this year and read results and look at surrounding feds around you and approach the fanciers that are been consistant in them feds
-
first bird back was with ybs on garden just now hopefully his hen will turn up the better of the two birds imo
-
Rain and thunder moved out of France but it was in south of England and the wind was too strong club members have seen there first birds today , not had a good race from channel this season best one was first one and that was a smash

I think there are many reasons for yb losses (1) birds of prey (2) too many people training at same times so clashing (3) if trained with club mates would be more organised larger flocks going into same area safety in numbers which would reduce strikes (4) darkness system i feel these ybs in adult bodys are just that bodys developed but not there minds , i feel the earlier you breed the earlier they need to be trained but the darkness system wont allow it (5) alot of birds that should of been removed at weaning stage are allowed to mature , and weak breeding stock rearing weak birds (6) underlying ailment such as ecoli and canker and respirtitry well there my opinion on the high losses
-
respirtity or canker or even a foreign body at back of throat
-
suppose if never took any bird to any race point no-one would ever know if had the ability to cover the distance so its simple if you dont send you dont find out , races are there to cater for everyone no-one makes anyone send there birds and who would want to pay money on birds not up to it , unless there got more money than sense as for the distance flown its down to the individual to decide if he wants to send or not , the birds above are the cream of Scottish racing well done to them all
-
yup Franks not far from staxton hill
-
Well done and good luck
-
game bird at that distance well done
-
well done to all whos timed
-
as said only 2 on top allotments , other allotment no birds , my club no birds as yet and raining
