i test then treat accordingly , at this time of year i wouldnt treat for anything until there moult is over , worms would be the biggest issue before pairing , i don't see any point in treating for canker until paired as you will find pairing can be quite a stressfull time for the birds and canker can flair up , so i find treating whilst paired up to be better for canker , which i have done in the past

why not just test them and treat them for what they do have not what they havent
