think most clubs are having same problems our HQ keeps closing but same as fifer we kept using outbuilding sometimes with a generator , i think fanciers are the own worse enemy at times , its time to pull together to cut costs too many small clubs and Feds and a lot could combine and go down road together race as one club have sections in there own clubs if that's what they wanted but if nowts done in next 10 years I doubt anyone be racing without travelling miles to get to a basketing centre

yup have a few that grow long toe nails need to be kept on top of that would cause feet to rock and full weight on would be uncomfortable imo , if legs were swollen or bird not using them I'd be more worried

leave them to nature a sure way to chill the eggs if you keep disturbing the nest , sometimes beak can get caught on sharp egg shell should be fine but leave them be till 6 days when you can check to ring

the only benift of flying natural is , your birds will go through the cycle of nests at different states each bird will like different stages which motivates them however the down side is they'll moult and not hold a full wing like the roundabouts / widowhood birds , so better pairing later on
