In celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's 2012 Diamond Jubilee the RPRA are running a 'Design a Logo' competition. The competition is open to 3 age groups ( Under 11's , 11 to 16's and 17 and over ) and as well as some fantastic prizes the winning designs will appear on all official RPRA stationery throughout the year in celebration. Could be a great idea to print this out and send to schools to get younger children involved Closing date for entries is October 2011 Click on link below Good Luck! http://www.rpra.org/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=%2bKZzmubayqc%3d&tabid=38

no one landed on the moon there's no atmosphere and a flag wouldn't blow in the wind and you certainly wouldn't be able to play golf :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

as IB said its lacking skin and inners are exposed skin is a barrier to infection so although your bird appears to be in otherwise good health it's to severe to do anything with , without skin there be no feathers , so cant see a happy ending unless a vet can create skin that will knit over the hole

strange ring , the colour sounds like a grizzle , looking at the strange ring doesn't look like a racing ring but got good homing ability , best bet is to contact the npa and get someone from nearest fancy bird club to collect it grahamgiddings@aol.com

the thing is you could probably send all your young birds untrained the drag would bring them back home if they stay with the main batch as most do i know of a few fanciers that actually do this , but not something I would do , 60 miles is short for a first race with ybs your not training for fitness there young and healthy . So yes by all means basket train them so the experience is not as stressful , but a few tosses up to 30 mile will put them in good order for there racing career ahead , once my birds go to there first race I rarely return them to a basket for training as Geo said there better off at home not running the bop gauntlet getting home and where you can train with as many fanciers at same time , I believe there's safety in numbers
-
Earliest i would start ybs off would be 6 weeks before there first race once you start training you have to keep it up or they'll fall to bits
-
Well done John , hope the next ones you
