  5. cheaper in the chemist,, if you can get it now, many dont stock it now,, im afraid i go over the score compared to green lands ;D i like the bath as deep as poss, and even warm ;D about 4 inches i feel they get a really good dip ;D i think , like greenlands , probably just use my imagination , or experience if you like ;D but can put sufficient condies in the bath untill a certain colour , it doesnt take much , just a dozen or so crystals will make the water nice and purple where you can just see the bottom of the bath
  6. ill try and take a pic batteries flat in camera ;Dill see if they will take a quick charge ;D
  7. a white out here in the lothians just outside the west of edinburgh, as i post seems to be brightening up,, but snow fairly deep here
  8. all of them are absolute stunners,, really cracking pigeons, and lovely photos
  9. good job you stay in the back bedroom ;D ;D ;D just a tad close to those trains ;D ;D ;D i think we are saying these "can" be the classic signs of salmonella/paratyphoid , but we are trying to rule out any other possibilities , most have been ruled out apart from the noise of this new puppy,, in my opinion , pigeons will get used to most noises if heard regular and pose no threat to them, but this being a new noise ,right next to the loft , could leave a possiblity of birds comming off their eggs in the dark , even for a short time in winter b4 they find their way back on to the eggs , they could well be chilled ,, only a possibility,,, advice was to have them checked out for paratyphoid
  10. compo ;D ;D ;D ;D now ill sit quietly and watch silence of the lambs ;D ;D ;D [oooh they get worse ;D ;D ;D]
  11. seriously i wouldnt want to spend that much on a pigeon , but if i had 5k i surely would have a fun time ,,last of the summer wine ;D ;D
  12. you just bleat me to it andy ;D ;D ;D
  13. agree with you entirely greenlands,, also good for day after the race bath, to help heal any pecks or light knocks or grazing the bird may have seccumed to during the lib and race ,, cheap as chips ;D
  14. how dare you wiley ;D ;D ;D ;D [think i would do the same ;D ;D ;D]
  15. thanks patty bhoy ;D ;D even allthough i got them all wrong ;D good fun though
  16. yes ,had ferrets most of my life , still have 2 at the moment
  17. something similar to vics prob,, some time ago, allthough i live in somewhat the country,,they dug up the feilds just down from me , to widen the road and build a" park and ride" all new drains etc, at that time there were rats come up our way becuase of this ,, but with my ferrets and my freinds managed to catch a few under various houses by blocking any outlets , then putting my ferrets in,, i run these regular under the lofts and under the house , i also throw the ferrets droppings under the loft etc,, seems to have worked ,, have had traps set,, poison down, but nothing touched,, and nothing in the traps for a good few months
  18. the rat catcher ;D
  19. seems youve covered most possibilities,, if this whining sound of this new pup, is new and a " different" sound to the birds , could well be poss that this would upset them enough for them to rise from their eggs at night , then go back on them , but in this cold, would be easy enough chilled, very quickly

  23. sounds good to me,, sometimes damp patches where droppings were are , look deceiving in the pics,, if just scraped recent b4 pic,, all should be well if these dry quickly beautifull loft and fittings
  24. looks very good indeed and looks like youve did a lot of hard work on it,, birds looking great,, but cant just help thinking , maybe , just a little more ventilation at ground level,, but really depends again on how many birds are in the loft, etc , but birds look superb
