pity all this is going on i know circumstances are different for everyone and must be a terrible to have to fight to keep your birds but the bigger question going a little off point again i know but is a lot of this down too how pigeons are seen by the public ignorance i feel in a lot of cases is why there trouble unfortunately we are trying to cure a lot of other problems when we still have not cured how our birds are seen by the public (flying rats) i do understand with some neighbours there just no talking to them had a bad one to in my time but i do think the above point is a valid one

as stated by jph when a hen sparrow hawk pick out a loft it worse than having a percy about as the cock sparrowhawk in most cases takes mostly finches small birds she starving when she comes off the young ones as far as i know she moults too while siting the eggs and only been fed small birds also she has is main provider for her chicks as i said the cock only catches small birds

if the birds can get away quick its more than half the battle

quite true in 99.9% of cases location and wind dictates results i always look down the results to see a fancier living in the wrong location getting in and in a lot of cases in my opinion this bird can be the best bird on the day maybe didn't get the number 1 spot but the bird would be a winner in my eyes just something i watch out for
