a good write up in the Sunday Post today re Coo! Brave Pigeons risked their lives to bring back vital wartime intelligence, it was stated that around 16,000 pigeons were dropped between 1941 and 1944, they were supplied by British pigeon fanciers, a few of the many dangers they were under was hungry locals eating them and or handing them over to the Gestapo, ps. yes a good write up to let the public know, a book has just been published " SECRET PIGEON SERVICE" published by Harper Collins and is out now
