Guest mambo Posted August 25, 2017 Report Posted August 25, 2017 It now looks like their are, more dodging the west racing, than hands that whent up in favour, clubs that voted to go west they don't like being asked how many they are sending with the Lanarkshire fed, strange people them cowboy's from the wild west
Bobby4 Posted August 25, 2017 Report Posted August 25, 2017 Am away to the real wild west Danny hopefully a better race than what we have been getting .sent to the shamrock country here's hoping
Guest mambo Posted August 25, 2017 Report Posted August 25, 2017 Went not whent. How many you sent danCan't send I have 8 left, from 30 was lossing them one at a time from tossing 15 mile out. and 3 and four at racing, will be hopping we fly east next year god willing and we pick easterly costal sites the reason is if all the birds fly from the east, we here in the west will only need to clear the flight path from eyemouth into Glasgow sad as it is, but safety in numbers.if all flew west the killing would have been shared, this has now been forced on the Lanarkshire, as it would be mad for us to even consider the Central route, we now have to look at places like Redcar, all on the beach areas flying,so please don't suggest sites that are not on the east coast when the AGM comes arround,on the coast the bird has a chance to out run the bop as all is flat no hills at sea

YOUNG JOE Posted August 25, 2017 Report Posted August 25, 2017 Danny let's be fair here the young birds had few bad ones this season on the west but this is just my opinion about it the hawks have played part in it all and also the 2 longtown race points but the weathers been the biggest part, but correct me if am wrong. Cheers

CheersJoe we toss about 40 mile from our lofts before we race, we take about 16,000 rings the young birds are 27 weeks old going to the first race, some younger when we get to July first race we have only 6,000 odd left this tell us the Lanarkshire fed alone lose 370 birds a week 370× 27 weeks= 9,990 birds lost or just say 370 member's lose 1 bird a week each, before they start to race, this is not about east, west its about flying the safest and flattest route ,and east offers less hills from the coast and the whole of the UK race over their so it would be in our own interest, to go their also, we in Lanarkshire have the problem 40 mile out from bop its at the home end we have the problems the birds have been telling us for the last 15 years they don't like the ninth valley any more, national races say birds in Edinburgh yet 3 hours later you get one in Lanarkshire ,so it must be around their, birds are getting stopped and made to turn to find a new route. Why the 3 hour from Edinburgh that can't be right. 30 mile from home
