Guest Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Would just like to congratulate Paolo who today not only won 1st & 4th club, but also looks good for topping the Fed, and will figure prominently on his National result! On top of that, with only one race to go, Paul is challenging for the young bird averages in his club, against seasoned and top class established fanciers! Not bad going for a novice who only started with youngsters last season! Keep it going Paul, you are showing with the right application, it can be done against the aces! Top class flying mate!!! Dave & Amanda

Guest Paulo Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Thanks Lads just heard from the fed sec that the bird will be in the top 2 - 5 in the fed its a close race even through there were big gaps between some of the later birds. Looks like Hodge will top the fed Jim so no shame in getting beaten by him he's a top pigeon man and a top bloke. I was on at 1420 along with a few others in our fed. The WDA winner is supposed to be Stobbs from Consett and I've heard 1423 for his time. So I reckon the lads in our fed should get into the top 100 in the Amal easy enough. Consett's about 8 - 10 mile north from us. Plus it was a really funny race with stinking returns and huge gaps between the birds for a lot of people. It shows that I won the club by 10 minutes at 1420 and then my bird that won 4th wasn't on the clock until 1435!!!! Took 1st club and 4th club and like I say as of yet haven't had the exact placing in the fed confirmed. Have two droppy back races to send to and with 2x 1st, 2 x 3rd and 1 x 4th I am the next highest point scorer in the club for the YB averages. To be in with a chance I really need to win or get decent points in the next two races but one has to try don't they? Once again thanks to everyone for all the advice and help I've got off on here in paricular to Davey Barkel and Jim Bambling.
Guest Paulo Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Well done again mate eddie won't be pleased if you knock Him off his perch LOL ,keep it going mate !!! He was joking on up the club saying he put my clock printout on his to be read off. They weren't on until 1440. lol
