in the midlands these pigeons are winning ever so well . i have the de meyers and these are based on the lambrechts as de meyer and lambrecht swap pigeons on a regular basis i got mine from the j hulse sale and from k. head who has the very best de meyers in england . one of his top breedersTHE SLANG he got from de meyer is infact a direct lambrecht and has bred loads of pigeons to win in england and belgium im hoping to get a late bred son off him for my stock loft as kevin promised i could have one out of him .

There is a LB coming up for sale (as part of our cancer charity sale) that has some of the best Lambrecht blood available in the UK very soon!

I bought 6 this year. They are later youngsters but I have never seen birds fly like them. Even while I train them 25miles every day they will exercise anything up to 3 hours. And when I let them out I can see them gaining height until they are really high before they go off out of sight. Sometimes, but not always, I see them coming back and they are sill flying really high until they are close to the loft.

Unfortunately, they are moulting too much for me to think about sending to later races.  And the other set back is the fact that all 6 are hens. I am an out and out widowhood flyer so they may never have the chance of racing.

I will be looking to buy a well raced cock to pair with them, if I can. Failing that I will cross them in with my own family and see what happens.

To tell the truth, I am no use at racing hens. Besides I really enjoy racing my cocks. I find widowhood cocks easy to manage and a pleasure to race. I also like the fact that I can put 6 in a race against other people who will enter 40 and more, and I can beat them.

It has taken years for me to learn my trade with the cocks and all the effort has been worth it. Hens. No way.

My 6 Lambrecht hens can be mated to my cocks. I would bet that they will be great crosses. I will be watching the sales this Autumn to see if there are any cocks with good performances behind them coming up. Who knows, I could get lucky.
