Pairing Back Up

Cocks have been split 7 days (took hens and baby's away at same time thinking about pairing them back up tomorrow first race is in 14 days and train them on the drive and send them sitting to the first race on a few day old eggs anyone else do this ,is it worth the hassle? I got them flying well as they are and everything is clean lol
