On behalf of my family I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Basics members who took the time to donate or purchase birds in the recent 2 sales which were organised to recognise the Victoria Hospital Haematology/Oncology Day Unit, which cared for our mother Mary in her time of need, and during her fight against Leukaemia, better care we as a family could not have asked for.

 

We hope that the generous total of £5,400 will go some way to make others who are suffering the same as mum, a little bit more comfortable, and the treatment a bit more bearable.

 

I would also like to take this opportunity to personally thank Ian McKay for all the time and effort he has put in to this worthy cause, THANK YOU IAN!!!!!!

 

I wish all the successful bidders the very best with their purchases, and hope they do well for you all.

 

I intend to name the bird I purchased from Sale 2, Mary's Memory in memory of mum.
