Loft Position

I'm in the midlands, England will be racing from the south road, which way am I best positioning my loft I've got two options south or east ? I was going go with facing south because that's the way the birds should be coming from but I believe east is the way the sun rises ? So would be hitting the loft from first thing in the morning. To optimise space in the garden I don't have space to face the loft south-east.

Since youve got the choice between south or east i would choose south definately.

Sound will point it south then leaving me room for a little stock loft pointing to the east in future lol
