Guest CS Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 THE THING IS VIC IF YOU GO ONTO A SITE AND YOU THINK IT'S CRAP DONT GO BACK ONTO IT ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D Agree with you, if you don't like it then dont go back onto it.
Guest Hjaltland Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 What or who are you referring to Vic?
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 you only need to visit once and if you like it you go back
Guest Vic Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Most Websites, (In my mind) are spun by what I term "Money Spiders" who, let's face it, try to recover their outlay, or whatever may be in it. The most recent spin by two Croations stunned me immediately, see ("always learning") post. Expecting Vic to pay them money, to watch rollers rolling. I have paid enough money watching our Freds Rollers rolling on sky Telly, without being bled completely)Please! all you web winders, give us all a break.
Ian Gill Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Hi Vic, I dont think you can label all websites as the same mate, there are geniune sites out there that are tryng to make a difference without the lure of the "green". Some people may think this is waffle but I have been working on mine for 6 years and have not made or have even tried to make any money(Apart from 6 ybs from a guy for putting his banner on mine). But you are right on the "spin" front ,its getting ridiculous to say the very least !! Fanciers seem to take whatever they read or are told on these sites to be the gospel truth and unfortunately there are those out there who will take advantage of that situation. And as far as everyone having their own site ?? That might not be as far away as you think mate
TheSaddler Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Vic, I have my website - the cost for the domain and setting it up £30 for six months... Do I have any plans to sell stuff? No... Have I have sold a pigeon? No.. What I do it for? To keep the sport alive! I agree some are there to make a quick buck - but not all of us! Here's mine: www.pigeonfancier.co.uk Cheers Lyndon
Guest Vic Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Ian, Where can we not fail? to mention spin, these days? Perhaps Vics getting a little too deep. God Bless us all
Guest Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 tend to agree with you a bit vic, but its good to have alook at other guys sites and see what they are doing and if you dont like it like all the others said dont go back on it
Ian Gill Posted February 10, 2007 Report Posted February 10, 2007 Hi Vic, No I dont think you are getting to deep at all,its a pity a lot more people dont stand up and be counted...its all to easy to believe what we are told :-/ The internet is no different to any other aspect of our sport and simply because someone tells you they have the best pigeons or the biggest and best website ,doesnt necessarily mean thats its true. This sport has seen a huge increase over the past 10 years in the number of shysters looking to fleece the ordinary fancier out of his hard earned cash with big claims and below average goods, and shame as it is ,theyre on the internet now as well.

Roland Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 http://www.rosscoleyevents.co.uk/ Will add mine too then Vic. It was originally for business reasons, but most work is from recommendations and the odd agency ... but must have now raised a £Mllion or two for worthwhile causes. And a meagrely living! lol. But then get roped into Auctions, and much other walks for as an Entertainer, and always in front of the public, associates think you can do anything public related, and for nowt usually. Have to have a raise and then be paid officialy nowt lol.
