peter dempsey Posted April 16, 2016 Report Posted April 16, 2016 Welsh Fanciers with Peter Dempsey in the National Marking Station in Rhonda Valley in 1989. This is how the sport should be, everyone enjoying themselves at marking day. This is the first time that I met Alan Bayliss and we've been friends ever since.

leslie24williams49 Posted April 20, 2016 Report Posted April 20, 2016 A see taffy Bowen ther flew his birds for years what a terrific man been in his loft many a time R.i.ptaffy was one in a million,a great public speaker,he was a true legend in the fancy in s wales,he was the ambassoder to the fci.he met the king of belgium who was also a fancier and made a big impression on him,the king presented him with a pair of birds, may have been roger timmermans blood, rings a bell with me. i used to go over to the rhonnda valley to ferndale every tuesday night to a pub where taffy would hold court every week,it always was a fantastic night with his stories and sayings,he would always bring some of his cattrysse birds by public demand, also delbars, and last but not least royal belgian blood, epic i can tell you,if i could have one wish for any of you reading this now it would be that you could go to one of those evenings, never to be forgotten. well that is my blast from the past, hope you enjoyed it..
