morning so went out to the loft this morning one of the hens have layed but im pretty sure its too snall what is the normall size of egg thanks

The average size of eggs are usually 4cm in length and 9cm in circumference. This may vary slighty especially with young/yearling hens first nest or older hens in their later years of nesting. :)

yeah i thought it was too small its about half that size, what is a small egg down to feeding or do pigeons sometimes lay a small egg

sometime a they can lay 1 small one and a normal one

see what the next egg looks like

ive seen the small egg hatch out ok

but mostly they don't

up to you if you keep it or not

but most fanciers would discard it
