Guest jason Posted June 19, 2016 Report Posted June 19, 2016 I stand corrected.....next weeks race is from Messac, France. Not Ancenis.
Guest jason Posted July 1, 2016 Report Posted July 1, 2016 tonight is race marking for Cheltenham tomorrow (124 miles to me), Its the last inland old bird race of the season, there is a Niort race next week. As I've got my youngsters coming well from 60 mile training tosses, I've decided to be brave (or stupid) and I'm sending 5 youngsters tonight to Cheltenham Our club rules state that young birds can compete in old bird races.....so effectively, this weekend will be my first pigeon race for 8 years.....and I'm well excited :emoticon-0136-giggle: As for a result from Messac last week, None of the members sent as they were waiting for the Midlands National race this weekend (birds were marked yesterday) Jason
Guest jason Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 Todmorden H.S birds liberated with the Border Amal at 7.15 in a west south west wind good luck to all that's racing today Jason

greenbar Posted July 2, 2016 Report Posted July 2, 2016 Well done Mr waters and the rest of the timers. Lol.
Guest jason Posted July 14, 2016 Report Posted July 14, 2016 well none of the members of Todmorden H.S. sent to Niort for the club race, so there's no result for that one. The first young bird race is this weekend from Stafford (62 miles to me) basketing starts at 5.30pm Friday. I've got 24 young birds left from the 42 that I started with, but they have been trained hard and the last 3 chucks saw them at Hilton park services on the M6 (I'm guessing about 80 miles to my loft) anyway, I've picked out half of them for this weekend so I'll be sending 12. all the bestJason
greenbar Posted July 14, 2016 Report Posted July 14, 2016 Good luck Jason.go for it . By the way Jason why half them?
Kyleakin Lofts Posted July 14, 2016 Report Posted July 14, 2016 To keep the other half in the loft for the following week, at a guess. Their programme probably allows for this. Instead of being a continuing progress in distance it will be forward, back, forward, back, etc. An educational programme rather than one designed for maximum distance.
