frank-123 Posted October 14, 2015 Report Posted October 14, 2015 PIGEONS TROUBLE FIRST two races for old birds carried out by Scottish Federations have, in majority of clubs, left a lot to be desired. Federations in the Western group, racing from Penrith May 6, all experienced hard races with velocities well under 880 yards or 30 miles per hour. Federations in the Eastern group, racing from Longtown, were also liberated on May 6. Here again, velocities were low, showing birds had met some obstacle on the line flight home. the East ol Scotland Federation race, J. Ballantyne & Son, Selkirk, top the results with velocity 847 yards. Most fortunate Federation so far Midlothian, flying the East Coast route, whose members hav» had two grand races. Yesterday, races were scheduled to take place from Lancaster, Oxenholme, Penrith, with Midlothian from Darlington.
