Ybs Tail Feathers

Alot of my ybs tail feathers are spikey on the ends not rounded and smooth anyone know why this is ?

Could be moths.i spray my loft with fly spray

If the feathers have check marks it was most likely due to parents being poor feeders. I have never seen moth eaten tail feathers in 50+ years of keeping them.

do you have wire mesh on front of section ?

if birds are flying onto this and climbing up it can damage birds tails mate
