rembrant2coo Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 well looks like another farce chick well i for one wont be voting till this is sorted where are all the admin/mods to sort this farce out Some have been on mate ,but oldyellow has taken to the background and never had a say now its very interesting all this, were all valueable members or there would not be a site but some have powers that take a bit of understanding, in what they think and what they contribute what do you think oldyellow whats your views on the nights mysterious ways
Guest Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 I feel sorry for Stuart and I pm'd him and told him so. This whole situation is a joke and puts the integrity of both members and Admin in a ridiculous situation. Personally I feel that every member who makes a positive contribution to this site is as good as those who who are always on line and who are we to judge who is better than the next person. ONE MAN'S MEAT IS ANOTHER MAN'S POISON.
Guest Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 PS I spat my dummy out of the pram a long while ago, so NO SOUR GRAPES WITH ME :P
OLDYELLOW Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 Some have been on mate ,but oldyellow has taken to the background and never had a say now its very interesting all this, were all valueable members or there would not be a site but some have powers that take a bit of understanding, in what they think and what they contribute what do you think oldyellow whats your views on the nights mysterious ways Well i wasent on earlier nor was i told any reasons for Dovescots removal as my daughter was on my pc usualy is from 6 to 7pm then i went to take my partner to her friends house so pretty late when i got on , quite a few pms about what was going on site , however Richard is the site owner and has run this poll in a manner in which he felt fit . I have since found out that Dovescot has had a warning for his constant rule breaking and conduct , as we all signed up to the site we agreed to the terms of site conduct and to be moderated , as it states any moderation is final if you dont agree with it then feel free to take it up with webmaster aka Richard , the original poll clearly stated pigeon basic most valued member that folowed the sites rules , if it was clear that some shouldnt of been on the inital polls then they should clearly not have been on them in the first place , then this wouldnt of been the case tonight , Richard has other things to attend to in his personal life , and perhaps didnt feel that brodcasting a private site matter would be in the members intrest to be broadcasted to the rest of the members . Richard will make a statement in due course no doubt , i feel this will be after the weekend .
just ask me Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 a bit of calm for a few days maybe might be needed just wait and see

There is NO such thing as a MOST VALUED member, we ALL make a contribution to this site, some more than others, and there has been many a site rule broken by ALL of us bar NONE
Guest Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 I have had posts removed for a bit of banter and a laugh that was relevant to the topic, and yet some with authority can get away with it and nothing said. If the cap fits wear it, is how I see it
OLDYELLOW Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 There is NO such thing as a MOST VALUED member, we ALL make a contribution to this site, some more than others, and there has been many a site rule broken by ALL of us bar NONE I have to agree as a collective we are all valued , this was done with good intensions and good spirit of the site and a small token of appreciation of the site and people helping each other and ment as a small reward and a bit of fun , but all it has done is cause far more agrovation than its been worth , as said previously we all agreed to the site rules , and when challenging the rules or moderators then are in breach of agreement and will be firstly warned of conduct then have a user warning issued , easiest way for us all to get along is to read the rules and abide by them .
steve Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 when i mentioned admin/mods i wasn't meaning you old yellow or anyone inpitucular by that statement i just find it bit harsh that doves was removed from a poll the he was leading i belive (leading the one he was in) just seems of late everyone is leaving the forum :B :B :B :B and most post end up going so far from the original post not been a member long myself but id hate to think this forum would come to end and as others have stated all members are needed to make a great forum like this one
Guest Vic Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 WHO ISSUED A USER WARNING TO VIC? ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU HAVEN'T GOT YOUR CHANNELS CROSSED! LOL
OLDYELLOW Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 im sure vic if you have recieved a member warning then no doubt you have been sent a pm about it , as this is a matter for Richard you can contact him about this matter

Well as a moderator and a well respect man on this site you should have been one of the first to see where this was going. I state AGAIN, the vast majority of us make a positive contribution to this site and NO ONE is better than any one else. Your contribution OldYellow is second to none, but I am sure you give your advice as freely as the next, and to all good intentions, and you do it for the good of the hobby/sport. I'm siue you don't contribute for personal gain and recognition.
OLDYELLOW Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Well as a moderator and a well respect man on this site you should have been one of the first to see where this was going. Your contribution OldYellow is second to none, but I am sure you give your advice as freely as the next, and to all good intentions, and you do it for the good of the hobby/sport. I'm siue you don't contribute for personal gain and recognition. i have no need to gain fame or recognision , im hear to save a few heartaches and mistakes by newcomers , if i can offer a few shortcuts to get to the top then i will , i dont advertise my birds as i have no need to , i wont sell on any sites as my birds are my hobby , i have given birds away not sold and quite frankly i could of sold them they cost me my cash , but been overstocked and a smaller loft , i was glad to let a novice new fancier have them , if i felt they were of no value i have a lovely compost heap and wouldnt hesitate to remove them or anything i felt inferior in my loft , if i sell a few birds to cover my time and costs so be it , but i will never be a stud nor a buisness , as then there be no fun left in what i do , i do it out of my love for my pigeons which i have had for many years , i am lucky i had a mentor and i have chose a few to mentor they know who they are i have been lucky to own and breed some wonderfull birds that win for myself and others that have been lucky to get hold of them , i have probably talked to most members on this site at one time or another , i think its time to move on stop all the bickering and enjoy the site for the reason we are here in the first place the love of pigeons , rules are rule follow them and peace be with you
Guest Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 rules are made to be broken with respect. Law is there to be abided by
OLDYELLOW Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 rules are made to be broken with respect. Law is there to be abided by well if breaking rules then you shouldnt have agreed to the site polocy we all ticked a box , simple as that if members dont agree with the rules they wouldnt be posting just on lookers
Guest Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 i think its time to move on stop all the bickering and enjoy the site for the reason we are here in the first place the love of pigeons , I agree 100%

chickadee Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 All I would like to know is why has this poll been changed???? Dovescot was the first in poll B with 38 votes, so why suddenly change it to Vallance lofts at 20???????????????????????????????????????? Most valuable PB member in 2008? Vallance Lofts (20 votes) 29.41% IB (14 votes) 20.59% Vic (10 votes) 14.71% Homer49 (8 votes) 11.76% Sapper756 (6 votes) 8.82% Lenwadebob (4 votes) 5.88% Tom123 (2 votes) 2.94% Caetlae Lofts (2 votes) 2.94% Budgie (1 votes) 1.47% Micko (1 votes) 1.47% CS (0 votes) 0%

I thought that at the outset , however i thought as most are adults then it woukld be no more than a bit of fun , but alas not , i think this will be a leason learned for the site and probably these well ment kind guestures will be have to be stopped for the fear of such events in future.

Well it may be Christmas, good will and all that to fellow men, and I'm not a Ba Humbug, but I hope it is a lesson learned. Incidentally I am an adult, (60yo and flown the chanel a few times, and been in stock loft, now get my liberty as an old timer ;D ;D) but never to old to learn

If we excluded everybody that broke the rules then there would be no site or poll members
sammy Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Well it may be Christmas, good will and all that to fellow men, and I'm not a Ba Humbug, but I hope it is a lesson learned.
