Hi

 

I havnt posted in ages but I always read up whats going on .....

 

I have seen some people selling hens that are rung 07 / 08 do you think too old to still produce young.

I borrowed,some old Soontjens 9 years + off my good friend Fred,

Going back to the originals,as far back to the tree as I could.

As Luck would have it,Although they missed the odd egg here and there.

I did get a few good birds out of them.

i have had hens 10 and up to 13 years old , lay and produce good birds for me . in fact i have 2 x 10 year old hens here now , and all eggs hatched so far this year :emoticon-0123-party:
