Help With My Champ 500

THERES a new update for our clock again .this is abit of a pain as our club cant do it .where in Aberdeenshire can we send our clock to get updated ie Scotland to get this new update

thy have not got the key for the champ only the professional.

I have tried unikon to send a key up for the champ but thy will not send one.

its a pain every time this happens am stuck with this.

How have you managed before,is there not a club close to that uses the champ.

yes Peterhead is 18 miles away. but I cant expect stuart to update my clock when every time this happens

it was good of him to do it the last time.unikon should have sent our club up a key for the champ to update our clock

it was not the lack of phone call to them to send one up. plenty promises from them but that's all I got.

When you say a key not certain what you mean.

I think it is a key you have to put on the club base station.

there are 2 one for the champ and one for the professional.to update the clocks.

Excuse my confusion here what is this key I assume you are not referring to the annual activation code?

as far as I can tell you about this is a some years ago when we bought the champ 500.

our club all had the professional clock.

when there was a update thy could not update my champ 500 only the professional clock.

Seems straightforward enough on the Unikon website

Understand now,as you say you must have the correct base station.

yes that's right and unikon sold it to us knowing this at the time .they new when they sold the clock that our base station would be no good for it . .had this problem for 6 years .

OK Ritchie I get it now is it the case that my two members who bought champ last year half way through the season are going to have problems when I update the other 7 profi clocks before racing starts

 

Straight forward Walter..Ask one of your Champ members to bring along their Champ base station (I take it they have one) with their pocket clock, connect up his base station as you would your profi base then do the download for the Champ. Once done, stick your members champ

clocks into the base station for the update to be passed on.

we have had the same problem in our club, secretary phone unikon saying he couldn't upgrade a members clock because he had the champ, he was told if he sent it to unikon they would upgrade it for free including postage!, asked if he could not be issued with the champ base station and black ring marker to do it himself, he was told he would need to purchase both at a cost of £168.00, but both ring marker and base station would still belong to Unikon!!!! He was also informed if he wasn't happy , just put a letter of complaint in!!! sales woman had a very poor attitude towards secretary and especially if you own the Profi. Great system but very poor after service.
