Hey everyone iv got a few pair sitting for about a week now but the hens only layer one egg, does anyone know why this may be?

ive found theres a few things can cause this craig cold weather hens over weight and old age after they rear the one they are normaly back on there cycle and lay two next time because feeding takes the fat off them and weather is a bit warmer jmo

forgot to add yearling hens sometimes only lay one the first time also and ok after rearing

couldnt add much more . i would put a "pot egg" in as well Craig ,will be better for a single reared youngsters legs. :animatedpigeons:
