me Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 am i the only one who is concerned about the snfc running around organising short distance races instead of channel races which made the club members and their birds renowned world wide?
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 am i the only one who is concerned about the snfc running around organising short distance races instead of channel races which made the club members and their birds renowned world wide? is there not a rule within the snfc that says races have to be at least 500 miles ?
ALF Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 I HAVE NOTICED THAT SOME MEMBERS ON THIS SITE HAVE SAID THAT THEY DO NOT AGREE WITH THE FACT THAT LANARKSHIRE ARE NOT GOING TO MAIDSTONE WITH THE SNFC BUT NOT ONCE HAVE I SEEN ANY OF THEM BLAME THE SNFC FOR HAVING ANOTHER INLAND NATIONAL ON THE SAME DAY WE GO TO MAIDSTONE!!!

me Posted March 3, 2007 Author Report Posted March 3, 2007 is there not a rule within the snfc that says races have to be at least 500 miles ? think you are thinking of the changes to the gold award rules that came in a few years ago Tammy which stated a certain total distance had to be flown.Although that in its self was pretty dodgy when you consider the problem it gives the guys in the south. The fairer way would have been to say "you need 5 tickets from over the water " end of story.
Guest Posted March 3, 2007 Report Posted March 3, 2007 maybe just a coincidence they happened to pick the same day as we have used for ages alf they had to pick the same day because thats when most of the feds go to maidstone.

Exactly Alf all these guys want to go to a middle distance yearling race (well it is at that time of year) rather thab go to Sartilly or something similar believe "me" I would be the first to support that but my guess is the guys running the club have given up on that one and a wee inland race with some of the members only flying some 270+ miles will be better supported. See where I am coming from??

me Posted March 3, 2007 Author Report Posted March 3, 2007 it was passed at the agm by the members appreciate that Geordie but that was not the question that I posed in the opening post of my thread I am not particulsrly bothered about votes at AGM'S SOME ARE RESPECTED SOME ARE NOT. I am interested in the future of channel racing into Scotland. Whats that old saying Turkeys voting for Xmas?
