bruno it is not the man as you say but the situation that was created to allow him continue in office which i do not agree with, why so desperate to keep him there. as i said before if the custodians of the union will flaunt rules, regulations and the constitution to get their own way what example does it set the members. the union currently has no respect with its fellow unions, the words laughing stock have been used many times and when you speak to members of other unions they all agree. my own opinion is that mr barlow has shown very poor judgement and taste and a total lack of respect for the office of president of the shu.

 

i agree with you regarding leaving the past in the past re  galsgow and dumbarton.

 

i must admit i did not know that there were 4 other dodgy delegates who do not meet the rules criteria but would appreciate you posting up who they are or which federations are involved.

 

 

I agree with you on J Barlow's judgement, and the advice he took before embarking on this course couldn't have been more ill-conceived. Doing what he did, he automatically lost the respect and support that he needs to run the Union affairs. Even going from unanimous vote 2006 to 14/12 in 2007, one vote being his own = +1, with both his vice-presidents voting against him, should have been message enough to stand down - surely to then take Office is untenable.

 

But mark my words. Bank on there being nothing dodgy in this ... irrespective of how you personally feel about them we are dealing with clever people here ... the criteria for these Feds are bound to be cast-iron legit.

bruno if you really think i am sick why do you feel the obsessive need to attack me and my posts? as to mentioning the fact that your club and fed mates think you are a figure of ridicule i am only repeating what i have been told. the same as you would have people believe that i have left a trail of broken sporting relationships behind me based on what you have been told. once again your attempting to camouflage your bullying with long winded and over indulgent language. face the truth you cannot cope with my approach. truthful fair and open. poison to a bully. you cannot cope with the fact that most people cannot suffer your pompous and high handed approach to matters. stand back and have a look in the mirror. always remember it is never to late to change. never say never. help is available. you only need to ask. admitting a problem is the first step towards doing something about it.

bruno i agree with what you say regarding mr barlow but i would be of the same opinion regardless of who it was, not just mr barlow. the example must be set at the top otherwise anarchy will prevail. far better to have a strong president with full support of council than the current situation, but we live in hope. you will never keep all the members happy all the time but i think if you are honest and upfront you will have more friends than enemies, people respect truth and transparency and someone who tries their best. no place for deceit and dishonesty and it builds poor foundations.

Agree 99.99% - we differ on only one thing, I do not believe deceit and dishonesty played any part in the J Barlow affair. Have argued from very start that what was done was within his rights, and within rules. Whether he was right to do it is of course a different matter.

 

And anyway, Barlow is the puppet. Should really be the one pulling the strings that wants outing.

I have passed all the information I have on this matter to my Fed's SHU  Delegate, and no doubt it will be gone into at Council. As I have said from the beginning, I believe SHU Council is the correct forum for it.

No attempt on my part to shut anybody up, I'm prepared to debate issues. I have always been willing to try and seek out 'the facts' for this website, information for all members, and to post it just as I found it, without any doctoring so that it fits my personal view of things. If these facts support what has been posted  - fine, I believe corroboration means we can rely on the info; if they directly contradict what has been posted - well tuff, its back to the drawing board to either verify it from another source, or find out what the real score is.

 

You really have no concept of truth - the rantings in your recent threads make that abundantly clear - elaborate constructs of your warped perception. You are basically throwing childish tantrums because you are the one who is being caught out posting everything but the truth.
