Just as we moderators have the same right to call a halt to any thread that we judge to be going nowhere, an editor of any newspaper has the right to call a halt to any theme running in the letters page, and frequently does. Considering the three parties concerned had had a say [fair airing] and there is to be a meeting on it, I think it was a fair call.
