RIGHT WERE DO I BEGIN

WE ARE IN 2 FEDS AND FULLY PAID UP BUT ONLY FLY IN THE 1

SO MAJORITY OF MEMBERS HAVE DECIDED THEY WISH TO SWITCH TO THE OTHER FEDERATION

FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON NOW AS WE WONT BE SENDING AT ALL IN THE 1 FED NO MORE WILL THEY STILL CHARGE US EVERY WEEK EVEN THOUGH WE WILL NOT BE SENDING WITH THEM

HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE

you dont state what the charge is, if its a rule that members pay each week regardless or not they are sending, then if you havent resigned as you say you havent then they could charge you as you are still members,

i,m afraid that is not the news you were looking for ,but the fifer is right it depends on what you committed yourselves too at the time of joining your 1st fed , and they  will not let you forget it either,

Surely the only charge should be the number of  baskets sent.No baskets sent no charge.or am i mistaken?????

OK I UNDERSTAND BUT DOES THIS HAVE TO BE STATED AS A RULE

AND A FIXED PRICE IN THE RULING

yes of course they cant just take a stab in the dark and name a price ,its got to be in black and white and signed by the pres in the minutes of the a.g.m. it will not be in the constitution but it should be in the minutes , if they don,t have anything in the minutes

then you just walk on , and you don,t pay

some organisations charge ex amount each week for the transporter going down the road wether you go or not, as they lose money if lots of members dont go, my fed tried this last year but was knocked down, if this is so the only suggestion i could give is put it to your union, as my thought are they should'nt be able to charge you for going to a race if not going, the way they get round it is they are charging for the transporter which is the members responsibilty, but depends what they are charging for, if its entry for races and you dont go i think you have a case,

I UNDERSTAND WAT EVERYBODY IS SAYING BUT SURELY IT WOULD BE CLASSED AS PAYING FOR A SERVICE THAT YOU NO LONGER REQUIRE

WHEN WE HAVE ALREADY PAID OUR FED SUBS AND UNDERSTAND THAT WE LOSE THAT

IT JUST SEEMS LIKE BLACKMAIL

if there is nothing written down dave in black and white as i said you have not a problem and as fifer said also its something they do to make sure the transporter or other things that crop up throughout the season gets covered sorry mate

as said if its charging for the transporter, they may be ok, but if its charging for races then you could have a case as you are not taking part in them, and more so if prize money is in volved,

the proper way as per rules is if there is a deficit at the end of the year all members pay an equal payment to cover it, this way the organisation is starting each season without any deficit, if they make members pay up front and they dont get a deficit but a surplus then really the pay up front, more so by members not racing is unfair, the best way is as stated on the start of this post, and the proper way,

check your rule book and ask other local fanciers before taking any action that could cause the fed to get its back up

They cant charge you for a service you don’t receive whatever the rules say, challenge it.

that's my call as well, but some try and get round it for charging for upkeep of the transporter, but to make you pay up front for races is not on, my fed tried it but it was nocked on the head, but then they just put more on the fees, which i dont agree with, in my view races should pay for themselve, and not come off fees, which is for the general running of the clubs,

Is this not the same as joining a club paying your fees and not sending. You are beeing charged but you dont send or have i missed the boat here. If all memebers are charged they have to pay it, the choice not to use the service is yours
