two Nationals in Scotland it was only politics that divided

the Nation , or there would just be one.

Arguments are what divided the Nation (pigeon wise)

Pigeon racing is simple it's fanciers that make it difficult & it will be fanciers that eventually end it.

anyone who qualfies to send pigeons to nfc saintes can have their pigeons marked at muirhead, glasgow. anyone wishing to send must meet the membership requirements of the nfc and the race is under complete authority of the nfc. the snrpc put the time and effort into negotiatng the scottish facility for marking and has been involved in the arrangements for forwarding the scottish pigeons to sheffield via gordon geddes and john baillie. some people wanted to attempt 700 mile racing into central scotland. the snrpc being forward thinking listened totheir members and have once again come up with the goods. i believe overfly in one race with snrpc already did not stop scottish pigeons taking top rpra awards in a combine event.

yes archie its the n.f.c. who are running the saintes race and they have invited the s.n.r.p.c.  along because we opened up to the whole of scotland (the nation of scotland because we are a nation ) to anyone irrespective off  where the live in the country

then they made a section for us to  SECT M  so we can compete , against everyone in the n.f.c. then they have been most kind and given us a marking station , this was all done because we could,nt go down the road with a small team of birds, but thats what the members wanted and we have been given this oppurtunity , to go for a long distance

race which was out of our reach on our own ,and the members have responded by given

us a fair indication that they are supporting us whole heartedly , and more so from members who seem to be joining from your organisation  , the s.n.f.c. and the s.h.u i don,t see this causing any friction , we are giving a service to the fancier and if they take it

good and well , they don,t have to all we ask is , they join the three organisations

the n.f.c. the r/.p.r.a.and the s.n.r.p.c. and its up to thereselves if they choose to go down that line the ball is in there court my friend , and we are not going to be standing in anyones way         the best of luck to everyone who enters this marathon in to scotland

I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPURTUNITY TO THANK THE GENTLEMEN WHO MADE

THIS HAPPEN AND GIVE US SUCH AN INCENTIVE TO FLY OUR PIGEONS IN A EXTREME

DISTANCE RACE , THANK YOU GENTS YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE

Absolutely correct Harry, this will let the real long distance aces in scotland compete in a true marathon, and once again the best of the best that scotland has to offer can compete against each other. 8) 8) 8)

The thing that has amazed me since coming back into pigeons is that the *Nationals* are now seeking out fanciers from AYRSHIRE .....when a not so few years ago they could not have gived a stuff about us.....I take it this means birds will now get liberated in an East Wind if at the day of the race the wind is blowing in said direction so we can all have a go at the big prizes or will it be the predictable hold over  .....in both SNFC & SNRPC ...my thoughts only ....lol

yes it is good harry, what i was asking about is someone was saying that the SNRPC was a true national as its open to the whole country  (UK) and my question was why is it called a scottish national if its open to the whole country, and how could you have a race for the whole country, its impossible, other than a one loft race,

your statement stevie , iwould think the welfare of the pigeons ,would come 1st and foremost regarding the weather were it to be east or west winds , and for the 1st partof your statement i think its the other way round its the fancier taking the oppurtunity

to see that an organisation , who has put out a programme to suit the fancers needs

is willing to accomodate them and support them ,you must remember our organisation is new and always ready to sit and listen to what the fanciers require , but i,m led to believe and this is from a member in your area , we have been getting a lot of requests for

memberships from your area, and your right stevie you are entitled to your thoughts

look forward to your visit when your in fife don,t dissappoint me you know your welcome anytime

Harry, definately a marathon race 700 odd miles. I think you'll need a tail wind or it could be best part of a 3 day plodder race. I preffer 1 day races but I've got a job to go to most days, however whatever takes yer fancy and good luck to you all...

I was talking to an SNRPC member from my Area & he was saying that the SNFC & the SNRPC were falling over themselves to get members from Ayrshire ...every thing is getting made easier ...with marking stations in Beith & near Kilmarnock.....expletive remove I had to go to Airdrie when I was lats in the "Nats" ....now you can join on the night in your own club ....expletive remove the next thing you know I'll be getting offered a 50 mile start ;-)

Surely the question of national or not, boils down to this, no if's, but's or maybe's

If you are saying Scotland is a nation you must accept Wales, Ireland or England are also nations, as in SNRPC then surely if you compete against another nation as in Wales, Ireland or England then it has to be considered an International, we can't have it both ways.

If it is a Scottish national then it should be only open to Scots if we are a seperate nation.

Why is there no Welsh NRPC, Irish NRPC, English NRPC or even a UKNRPC to compliment the SNRPC
