johnny11 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 Does anyone know this? If you do not have a pigeon loft anymore at the long and lat registered at RPRA can you still be registered as a flying member just so you can hold office? I dont mean moved out of boundary I mean dismantling your loft and not having one altogether or Do you automatically become a non flying member John
jimmy white Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 if you are a fully paid up member and have been so, you are a member of the rpra, you can still hold office [and still build another loft at any time ] [this is my opinion]
johnny11 Posted August 26, 2008 Author Report Posted August 26, 2008 Thanks Jimmy It just states in the rules that to be a member of a club you must have your loft within its boundary, is this just for application and once you in you are in whether you have a loft or not John
THE FIFER Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 in the SHU you must have a loft housing iether racing pigeons or show pigeons, so you must have birds,

When I send my return off to the RPRA for my members, I only have to record the loft number with name and addres. I do not have to state whether this person still has a loft or not. And as club secretary I am not concerned whether the individual has a loft up or not. I am concerned that the flyer if s/he has not resigned from the club at the AGM, pays up!! Once they do that my responsibility to my club and the RPRA is complete and I can pay the RPRA the fee for the member. Technically I don't know if any rules are being broken by accepting full payment from someone for example who is not going to compete that following year. However I think in practical terms and reality this would be the situation, maybe not the answer your after?
ChrisMaidment08 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 my belief is if you paid youer fees youer a member if you have birds or not if not in club you apply to region for membership and pay rpra fee you are then member regardless

Novice Posted August 27, 2008 Report Posted August 27, 2008 my belief is if you paid youer fees youer a member if you have birds or not if not in club you apply to region for membership and pay rpra fee you are then member regardless This is my understanding. For example the general manager had to join before taking office.
